every max payne is awesome because of the noir feeling it brings. people die, world is fucked, bad guys win. every payne game was more lived through then just played, you can feel it in you years after last played it.

you can always play as michael and use his slow motion ability if you want that shit, also the GTA series is always about semi realism and nearly every game in the series you play (except like the top down view ones) always require you to be in cover during shootouts. also it would damage a character's plot in a GTA game if they can just run and gun thanks to them being addicted to painkillers

I thought mp3 was a little sluggish, if you were strafing for example, max would not move as fast as you would move the sticks, not as fluid as gtaV, he had to finish the steps animation to change direction, running and walking is practically the same and there was no option to roll after falling flat on the ground from a shootdodge, that could've made the move more usable in latter difficulties, it was pretty much to show off, otherwise you would be shot dead as max took ages to get up leaving him useless. Max payne 3, gta and/or other games should use each one their own mechanics

GTA V NEEDS this kind of play style sometimes. Even GTA Online that's constantly getting changes in gameplay. Max Payne 3 is incredibly short for it's gameplay, I feel like I still need like 5 hours of storyline for me to be satisfied. IMO the best game ever, just next to the Metro trilogy

I love Max Payne. He always speaks in a monotone voice because he’s been through a lot in and has no one really for him anymore, he stays to himself. All the people he cared about are dead, and the only things he can turn to for comfort are alcohol and painkillers. He don’t mess with anyone unless you mess with him.

What I love about Max Payne is this contrast between his feelings and his actions. He's heavily depressed and is an addict, not being able to move forward for decades, always beating himself up and kind of enjoying living as a masochist. But when it comes to action, he has no hesitation and will go through any type of danger by charging head on. And will go through pain and suffering just to get it done. The exact opposite of his feelings. You might say he has a death with, but no one suicidal would put up this much of a fight and do all he can to come out alive. And I like to think that this is what helps him balance his life and deal with his emotional stress. If he can't control his emotions, at least his actions will do all the work

Its infuriating how nobody talks about this game, almost 10 years later and it still looks badass. Rockstar should definitely release another max payne game. Or atleast incorporate more of these mechanics in future games.

Trend is toward massive online multiplayer, which is opposite of Max Payne. Maybe they'll figure out a way to keep narrative meaningful, but I'd rather they don't sell out.

I absolutely LOVE the dialogue and narration in the dead-air while you walk between segments. It doesn't feel like filler or some bullshit to build onto the story, it's like actual segments that Max reflects on past, future, or present events.

Who still thinks this game is great as we enter 2020?

Never played it and my phone is struggling to process the video I haven't even gotten past the black screen yet and the time stamp is still 0:00:00 and for the longest time I haven't played the first Max Payne until a friend of mine suggested that I get the Android version yesterday so I did and beat it 53 minutes ago.

Everyones life is just like max in 2020

The simplicity of Max is why I really REALLY love his character. He has things that are just unacceptable to him; abuse of women, manipulation and betrayals. He follows a slippery slope hypocritical ideology and he doesn't pretend to be anymore then he is. Idk theres something really grounded about a character like Max which is why im both saddened and really happy he found his own means of wrapping up his story and he gets to walk into that sunset alive.

11 years next week and still holds up

I remember hearing from people this game was ass so i decided to watch this playthrough. Honestly, i see no problems. It does run and gun better than uncharted but still gives off that movie feel. Combat seems smooth and fun, and the story seems great. And the game still looks great, i do wish they'd remaster the series or give us a sequel though. To many games these days rely on flashy set pieces instead of gritty writing and dialogue.

after watching Max payne 1's graphic novel cutscenes before this, i love how Max changed from a stoic poet of an ex cop into a bodyguard that now occasionally screams and curses but still has his way around words and is still a wisecrack.Youd think it would be the other way around but i guess thats what years of painkillers and booze turns you

Hey man... fantastic upload. I'm not sure how often you check comments but this was fantastic. The cuts, the subtitles., the editing, this video was exactly what I was looking for. Keep doing what you're doing man. It's great and many people appreciate it. :)

The entire game has that drunk visuals until the final scene. It means that Max is finally sober and ready to move on. Farewell, Payne.

One of my favourites, finished it about ten times. Not only because I mostly feel like a drunk piece of garbage. It's the story and atmosphere. Or maybe that's exactly why I adore it. Rockstar just did a great job.

The transition between chapter 7 and 8 is outstanding, especially for the acting and the change in music. God this game.

I think they took visual inspiration from Man on Fire (2004) for the cinematics. The filters are very similar.

Hell of a way to end a series and a beloved character, well done Rockstar.

I like to think that after this Max retired and wrote a trilogy of books and told his story. The narration we hear is actually just parts of the books he wrote.

I appreciated this game more for it's cutscenes than its gameplay.

It's a shame that games have moved away from narrative and story. I admire the Max Payne team for not selling out like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Their souls were not for sale.

watching this makes me wanna pull out the old 360 and play the game again. those conversations they have in heated situations X'D I loled so much the 1st couple times i played the game. love the story and that classic Max Payne narration, many would argue but i really do think the 3rd game is the best from all of them

I still remember getting this game on the night of its release. Christiana Mall after hours, Gamestop was doing the midnight release for both this and Diablo 3.

EdoloChannel if you're handling a weapon and wear it face up you wear it on your right hand, if you wear it face down it goes on the left but that's only if you're handling long guns, for pistol shooters who prefer to handle the weapons with one hand it's better to wear it face up on the right wrist

this is my favorite game of the 2010s. I know not alot of people liked it but I did. I love the noir genre, I love the fact that this game didn't hold your hand, I love it took it places were games haven't really been sense and I love this story.

Max Payne 3 is a very underrated game that needs to be remastered also the cutscenes is some of the best in gaming history IMO also the way they did the game sometimes almost looks like multiple cameras were used even though it's a video game

The visual impairments remind me of a knackered old VHS tape

I was amazed Max didn't eat his gun over the years

The way this game was presented was fantastic. No English subtitles to show how alienated he feels in a foreign land. Cutscenes look disoriented to showcase his addiction and mental state.

I swear this game was WAY ahead of its time
