Mr Morath passed away yesterday at age 96. RIP friend. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with him several times over the past decade at various ragtime festivals

Our family went to a concert of his in Denver when I was probably ten or twelve. We had listened many times to an album of his. Many years later I discovered that the bass guitar (acoustic) player and singer was Felix Pappalardi who I saw some time later with Mountain! Max defined my understanding of ragtime music and the entertainment industry of the early 1900's.
