Max Headroom really sold Coke better than anyone else. Miss this era of the cola wars when both companies used Sci-Fi to sell fizzy drinks.
Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. There's a pretty cool story behind this. I'm from the 80s and I still remember these commercials from when I was young.

That was one of the weirdest broadcast intrusions ever! The people who did it were never caught. It's pretty interesting, they must have had some powerful microwave gear and good technical knowledge to make it happen.
