Amen to that! Even the commercials back then were fun to watch because they so cool. With today's commercials, it's like, "Just hurry up and get back to my show!" I'm glad I grew up in the 80's.

Mostly because people are stupid. In all blind taste tests, people have chosen New Coke. It's surprisingly consistent. When informed that they chose New over Classic, testers typically got angry at "being deceived". So basically, with psychology out of the way, people actually do prefer New over Classic. Psychology comes in and ruins it.

one of the very few people that actually liked new coke. then they went to the old forumla called it "classic" and marketed the new stuff as "coke II" maybe they should bring back the "classic" brand and put REAL SUGAR in it unlike the corn syrup in coke now.

@noodlesmealey Wow. How far back are we going to find any good Coke commerical? Anything before 1965? I was born in 1969! They made many good ones later in the '60s and '70s and some in the '80s. The best one I remember when I was a young boy was the one that came out in the early '70s when they did a commerical in Italy with people from every nation. That was the best Coke commerical ever made. You talk about trash, look what's been airing the past 20 years!!
