SM Artists are unparalleled in pretty much everything. I have yet to come across one that doesn't slay at everything they do, and don't even get me started on the vocals. This company has it's problems, but it has the best artists in all of Kpop. Hands down.

I love that even when Yunho and Changmin do solo work, their music still retains that TVXQ sound - Fever reminds me a lot of Vertigo (one of their best b-sides tbh). Fever is a song from this mini album btw! He also released another mv for a b-side called "Maniac" and it's a lot more upbeat jdhxjshx. As for TVXQ - Truth, The Chance of Love, Something, Love Line, and Purple Line are all excellent tracks :3

I know it's an overused phrase, but TVXQ are truly on a different level.

I'm sure Devil is at least inspired of rain of SWV especially that "rain down on me" part, like the chord progression is almost the same

You miss "maniac" from changmin's album. So don't forget to check it. That grandeur!!! the MV is kind of creepy, but in an elegant way and that performance is mindblowing. He's already setting the standard so hard for other artist having comebacks this year and we are just at january 13th. This might be just my opinion but Changmin, Yunho and Taemin are tied down as the most prolific performers in k-pop and some of the tops worldwide...they just have that imposing stage presence that other would kill to have. They kill it every single time and that exquisite attention to every tiny little detail on everything they do...omg! it's so satisfactory to watch them.

Devil very much reminded me of Cross Road Blues by Robert Johnson- the musician from the 1930s who has become known for supposedly selling his soul to the devil for extraordinary music abilities, namely master of the guitar and playing the blues - and House of the Rising Sun. Cross Road Blues in terms of themes and visuals, not as much in sound compared to House.

it's funny how you were frozen at some parts of devil and then you're bopping your head bc same!! the mv creeped me out a bit and i was mentally preparing myself in case some deep voice whispers randomly as the 'devil' 😆. both songs are incredible! devil feels like a movie to me, like the song is telling a story while fever is like an opera!! the moment i heard fever at smtown, i was hooked! and i didn't even get to watch the beginning bc i was late, there are just songs that click with you instantly and fever happens to be that for me. you can imagine how confused i was when i searched it and nothing showed up 😂. turns out it was the first performance! i love how you noticed the piano and instrumental btw!! those really stuck to my mind

so i checked this release bec i was curious and ngl i was MAD that we didn't get more electric guitars in fever i would've loved if they had an electric guitar going on during the last chorus 😭 but obviously that's just my preference. anyways i'm not too sure if you'll be checking out the rest of the album but i definitely recommend checking his maniac promotional video! it's definitely my fav off of the mini and i'm so glad it got its own little cute mv, thank you for always putting out such great reactions
