While it seemed like Derrick Jones Jr. was going to return to Dallas, that wasn't the case on the first day of NBA free agency. He's headed to Los Angeles to play for the Clippers, and the Mavs pivoted to former Pelicans forward Naji Marshall. K&C discuss the Mavs' moves in the video above.

Mavericks need 3 point shooting to win a title they need to sign as many players that can jack up three's like the Celtics bench.
Let Nico cook!!!! I can't wait to see what he's gonna do with the 4.5m left. I gotta believe there's a former all-pro out there who can play at like 70% of what he used to be and is comfortable coming off the bench in order to go out on top looking at LuKlyrie and thinking Dallas might be the place to chase a ring. And Dallas just won out over the Lakers. I think that's gonna take me like a week for it to sink in. Dallas is now a Free Agent Destination. But Nico has been brilliant. And it's just been snowballing. Started with Kyrie, turned into Klay and we'll see what happens next year.
He will flourish.
Creating his own shot…Naji is better than DJJ. I still love DJJ defense though.

Then you're really gonna love Marshall's defense. He's also better at setting up for others off the dribble.
Ellis the last curry running mate we had here. Hope Klay is much better although Ellis was good in his time here

27M$/3 years is a good contract, why did Pels let Marshall go?
