@@bruceyprizes the s6 works great on the mavic pro, mavic air, and mavic 2 pro. I would assume there are no issues with the zoom model but don't have firsthand experience.

Very good video, but would appreciate more of an explanation of what those settings are for and what they do. You explained where to find everything but would appreciate more of a purpose for those settings.

Thanks ! Great intro video for the app. My volunteer fire department / rescue squad has recently jumped into the world of drones. We have a “fleet” of Mavic 2 Zoom UAVs. And…. Also have a smart controller / goggles “Racing Edition “ / 4Hawks external directional antennas for our “standard” controllers. Our problem is RANGE. Video quality is not super critical, not is most other features and functions desired by most flyers and photographers. We have a large amount of trees and other greenery in most of our territory and tremendous levels of RF (WiFi and other sources) noise. While we can use VLOS “spotters” equipped with 2-way radios, we can hardly reach locations more than 2-3000 feet away from the controller. The “smart controller” apparently has approx. 30% signal loss over the “standard” controller provided with the drone package. Even with the external antenna option added, we only achieved approx. 20-30% improvement in range. BUT…. One of our medics (aka .. one of the “kids” 🤣) brought in his DJI FPV Drone for us to “play”. It was incredible! of course - NO “Manual Mode” for us Geezers..!, LOL Not only is it a great flyer, it gave us a range of about 50% over the Mavic 2 with “Smart Controller “. (Only problem = 1/2 of the battery life / flying time) Is this the same with ALL OCCUSYNC 3.0 systems? If so, Does anyone know how the Air 2S performs with both / either the “standard” controller provided or the “smart controller” ? It just might be worth the investment. (OR a “swap” if anyone locally wants to trade their 2S for the Mavic 2 Zoom or Pro) Thanks..!
Great information keep it up

Thank you for sharing this information we need to know. Can't wait to get a new M2P this fall. I'm curious, what is an "S" in a camera setting?

Good question Similar to a DSLR camera: Auto = Auto A - Shutter speed is determined by the Aperture value S - Aperture is determined by the Shutter speed. M - You adjust Aperture, Shutter speed manually. Hope that helps!
I set my low battery default to 15 so it don’t bother me. But awesome video bro!!
Looking forward to a late 2019 update if relevant.
I have a Mavic 2 Pro on the way to me in the next day or 2. I bought it with the DJI Smart controller, so since I won’t be using my phone in conjunction with a controller, I won’t need the DJI app on my phone, correct? Or do I still need to use it? Slightly confused, please let me know, thanks.
Thanks for the great video Jeff! How did you do the screen capture? How did you get permission to fly in downtown Austin? Cheers!

Hi Joe, i use an App called AZ Screen Recorder that works most of the time. This video was actually in Raleigh, so no close airports.
Hi, I have a question about flight modes. I have the latest Mavic 2 pro and it doesn't have tripod mod. Can I upgrade or something like that? Thanks in advance.
Hi Jeff I don't know if you know about the dji goggles. when I use the dji goggles it doesn't have the calibration for the compass only for the IMU.
Good tutorial. How do you share and record the app from your phone like you did to make this video?

Which app should be used for DJI Mavic 2 Pro?

Thanks for your reply. I wish DJI included all these instructions. I have not found them anywhere. Thanks again. I need a little help. It seems all my videos are limited to 5 minutes. Any idea of where the setting is to make it record longer?

@@jamesdewitt7175 I believe 5 min is just the default file size. If you put 2 five min clips together they shouldn't even miss a frame.

@@JeffGreeneChannel You'r the best. Funny, I called DJI today, one guy told me it was the SD card, the other told me it was preset and could not change it from a 4 GB limit. Thanks
?????????????????? Hey Jeff Love the VIds, I have a Mavic Pro 2 - With 2.0 Can you still manually set WAYPOINTS & frame your gimbal like with the original Marvic, Sometimes I want to make a 20ft precise move & the maps wont zoom in that close, PLEASE WATCH - this is what I want to do, it shows the mavic 1 doing it. Love the vids keepm com'n ??????????????? Would Love your THOUGHTS Jeff @
I wonder about the red portion on the obstacle avoidance icon. It always is red and makes me feel that the side sensors are never active. Top row next to satellite icon.
Question about the video length of any of my videos will only let me record only 5 minutes before it starts over back to zero. How can I change that setting 🤔
Prima erklärt - TOP - leider ist es in Deutschland nicht erlaubt über Häuser und Industrie zu fliegen 😏
Please post a video with the right video settings for the Mavic 2 Zoom if you can. I mean sharpness, saturation etc. just like for the Mavic Air.

@@JeffGreeneChannel thanks Jeff. Waiting excitedly. Another matter is polarizing ND filters. I had them for my lost Air and they came with an outer ring that I could turn - to get the right angle for the light (90° to the sun or something like that). When you find the right spot the sky will turn deep blue and no reflection is visible on water. Any other angle is useless no polarizing effect, just some ND identical darkening. And here's the million dollar question. How on earth would that work with the Mavic 2 pro rectangular lens? I've seen a set of polarizing ND filters in a recent video for the M2P and they had no movable parts, yet they were called polarizing filters. Obviously, they were linear polarizing filters but the "sweet spot" applies to these too. If one can't set that spot, it will randomly happen during the flight and the footage will change in colors as the drone turns. I'd like to see more opinions on this matter because either it's not advisable to use polar with the M2P or I don't understand something about physics. If it turns out that I'm right on this, it renders all polar products for M2P useless and the makers unprofessional crooks. With the Zoom it's different, the polar NDs come with a turning outer glass. As they supposed to.
It would've helped to show how to connect it to the app
Hi brother ask u plze How to remove black tape on both sides of the screen It bothered me a lot
i have connect my drone to my app and my cel and appears that cant flight no gps signal, anyone knows why? The gps on my cell is on
