Great video! Smart to anchor the gabion wall with 3” pipe….most don’t realize how heavy the wall can weigh!

Looks great! Thanks for sharing your project with us. I am working on my first Gabion Wall - tough work but fun.

Enjoy your videos, any chance I could hear about the gate actuator and how you're setup for that? I'm wanting to do something like this, and had planned on using the gabion walls, I really like the 16 foot gate as well.

We used Ghost Controls gate opener, plus the Zombie Lock, keypad and several added remotes. The cost adds up after a while!. So far, everything is working just fine.

    Why the concrete foundation? Aestetic?

He eventually made a concrete pad that joins the two sides and it contains the pipes to bring water and electricity to both sides of the driveway. When this video was made, we just had a tough extension cord that we drove over. Now, water and electricity flow to both sides and the pipes across are protected in concrete. Plus, we have vertical rebar and the foundation posts buried deep down and concrete around it makes the wall, which is extremely heavy, become quite stable.
