Thanks Tim🙂 Yeah its a great platform for speedrun experimenting, new wheels and a super plush servo should help the stability a lot. More teeth on the pinion for speed👌😅

Such an awesome looking truck ! Looking forward to seeing you get it to 100km .... i never use and normally hate gyro but i got a Gt5 for mine and it helped the rear stay straight

Thanks mate👊 100kph should be achieved with the next few mods hopefully🤞 Yeah im the same with gyros, iv never used them, can't stand them, but there were times I questioned my decision not to use them😅 Hopefully the mods help the stability, new wheels and better servo should help.

Hi Bud, This is a rocket for its size and weight and not to mention its boxy body , i love the truck and am so glad i bought one dont care what others say this is a fun and a awesome platform for what you pay on sale at crazy hobbies i paid $400 aud and im really enjoying this i may change out the radio as i too was getting signal loss in certain area's about the same distance you where at around 25-30 meters thanks for great content liked & subbed cheers bud 🙂

Thank you so much Andrew😁 Yes they are great rigs, honestly to me it feels very similar to a Infraction just lighter and a bit slower, acts very similar. And as you said for the price it's definitely worth it! But yes the radio system isn't the greatest when talking signal. DumboRC system is the go👌 Thanks again Andrew🙏

Excellent video as usual bro! These 1/8 Mavericks are really worth every cent, I'm lucky enough to have a couple. The Rally version is a absolute brute. As you pointed out though bro in one of your vids, The front drive cups assembly should be checked before running the first time as the grub screw is not locked in and will fall out. I also reinforced the body with 2 cans of Rustoleum Rubber Spray from Boonings and man what a difference it made! Other than that Ive yet to have any issues with them. Same with the muscle car version of this one. The other thing is I put a Dumbo system in them and activated the gyro. Huuuge difference. 90kph+ reliably on a 100c Zeee 8000mAh. (shorty) They are fast, Reasonably priced and will certainly put a smile on ya dial and thats what its all about ay Thanks man, Take care 🤪💯🤙

Thanks mate👍 They are very affordable and so much better than a lot of people make out they are, as you said no major issues whatsoever other than loctiting the grubs👌 Your not going to like this though, I sold it yesterday, I kinda had to though, 100% needed the money😕 Try and get another one one day, save and get the next to be released version maybe.

We should expect some good cars out of HPI soon since their financial rescue early this year. I reckon hang in there and see what they bring out mate. Like yourself, we have the big name stuff but its good to find these cheaper options that give the same fun factor. I just wish more people could understand that bit. @@rccrazy Nah mate ..I thought about that after i posted it hahah.. I'm in WA bud, Waiting for the bloody weather to heat up. RC cars in the winter, then out come the boats 🙂 Hopefully get my 1m waypoint mission boat working this year. Running over 4G. We gave up last year as it was doing our head in but have been yakkin to a bloke in the USA who has been helpful. Hopefully a full send up the coast to be collected over 1000km's away. The things we do ay 🤣👍

Thanks mate👍 Nice, im sure you'll enjoy it👌 I just buy the 12v strip lights from any hardware/home repair store, they are much cheaper than RC products and easy to cut, stick and solder wherever you want.

Great vid Saul. Nearly there on the 100km. Might need that rear wing for the downforce. How are the tyres?, did you change them or are they the originals.

Cheers man👊 Yeah it definitely isn't the most stable car but I think a few mods will help, one being wheels. They were the stock wheels and they are a little slippery. And a high quality servo I think will do the trick, the stock one isn't bad but there are much better ones available👌

Great speed for 4s, definitely looks like a fun car! Is the audio in this video just from the internal mic on your Gopro, or do you use another microphone? Cheers.

Thanks👍 Definitely a great result, 100kph shouldn't be to much to chase. The audio is just the GoPro mic but I want to get an external mic I'm just not sure what I'm looking for.

Sadly I had to sell mine due to lack of funding but I would totally get another if I had the cash spare, they are definitely worth the lowish price👌

I got 55mph on 20t pinion and those Team Infinity slick tires we talked about before..Running two Yome 4s batteries in parallel

Yeah that seems about right👌 The problem with comparing speedruns is there are so many variables that come into play, road surface, tyres, lipo health, shocks and everything else😅

It would've been from Hobbies Direct, I get all my stuff locally, Australian sellers. I can get the link or just search mod1 5mm pinion gears online, you will find one as they are everywhere.

Downforce is a serious problem with these trucks

Mine is doing dead on 100 kph with 20 tooth and a X team 4074 2500 kV the stock motor with 20 tooth did 86 kph

Yeah im seeing what I can get the stock system upto then I'll have a play around with 6s I think, got a nice 3674 8s motor to try👍

Try a 35t Speed spool and 24t pinion

On stock motor😬 It was well over a comfortable temp and that's not even 1/1 ratio, no way I'd run that gearing on the stock system without dual gamechangers or better!
