MAUTSE LAND FROM ANCESTORS
Between 1843 and 1869 the Basotho monarchy lost the better part of its cultivable land to the white settlers of the Orange Free State . While various political appeals for the return of this “Conquered Territory” by the successor state of Lesotho since 1965 have proved unavailing , recent years have seen a rapid re-occupation of certain highland caves and the environs by pilgrims who identify them as “sacred to the ancestors.
Pilgrims to the sacred caves practice every form of African religion from per-Christian Basotho ritual and medicine to independent Apostolic to established mission church Christianity. Attempts by the local white landowners to expel the pilgrims have proved fruitless in South Africa’s “new frontier” districts bordering Lesotho, as the state is no longer willing to place sanctity of private property above rights of access to religious and heritage sites

The funny thing about people who knows too much about our sacret places are white people who at the end of the day buys those place to make money with it... And we also teaches them our culture everything about ntho tsa badimo we are, going to be left kaalgat because of our stupidity... Ke bongaka they know more stupid shows ontv talking about the privacy of bongaka yoooooo sometimes I'm wondering bad thing continue to happen as merwalla di covid ntho Tse nkebeng di alafiwa ka setho di atile hakana kengaka tsa ditiktok Tse dutseng di buwa Maka lentho Tse ditshila sies hwasabisa... Setjhaba sesots ho tlohelang hohlotse le sapotana le di politicians Tse leshano le lwaneleng tulo tsa badimo tseseng dibuswa ke makhowa. Ke kapalamenteng there must be a sector for traditional doctors to give view and stop listening to lier like EFF members who doesn't know what does it mean to respect elders...
😍
