Witness, up close, the moment the ice broke and began its powerful move down river. Viewed from the marina in Rossford, Ohio.

When I was very young, it was ice like this that we used in our Ice Boxes to keep food cold. We got it from the Ice cutters of Lake Erie. This brings memories of my dad tying the block of ice to the bumber of the car. By the time we got home, 1/3 of the ice melted.

What I see is careless people getting to close to a river bank that could collapse at any moment. When things like this happen people need to stay away. The worse part is when rescue people are called and some one dies trying to rescue these idiots.
