The Western Basin of Lake Erie is where the majority of Mother Erie's walleye spawn. Much of the prime spawning habitat is located in Maumee Bay near the mouth of the Maumee River. Drifting and fishing blade baits is one of the most popular ways anglers target post-spawn walleye that are the perfect size for the dinner table.
