In awe of the humility our Queen has displayed, ne afeitaulalo o me'a lalo. I see the same down to earth qualities in her daughter Princess Angelika fielau! I love our culture & when our royals exemplify it.

After all these years, I find I'm still able to handle this speech making in the background as I work on my computer. This is in Tongan. But the speeches were the same in the language of my childhood, Samoan. Later in life, I learned how poetically beautiful the speeches of chiefs. I often joke that Samoan humor is unlike European humor in a major way--Europeans have come to use linguistics to affect wit. Sad that the world cannot understand nor appreciate the language of Polynesians in the discourse of life. Very few people have learned it well enough. It eludes even natives. If I were to name one of my favorite things in this life, it would be Samoan linguistics.

I love this music. Thank you Tuimala Kohu. Though raised among my Samoan relatives, this music made me wish so much I had spent more of my childhood among my Tongan relatives. Thank you Noble Vaea and Tuputupu for the one very brief time I was able to spend with family as a young college student and was able to step into the twilight of Seini's life; meet the then young Nanasi, now HRM. Malo aupito. This life is so short; there's not enough time to experience all the good. My father comes to mind--the love he had for his family both Samoan and Tongan. E le tioa, ina ua lata i lona maliu, lona vina mo na aso o lona olaga.

My dear Nanasi, my heart fondly remembers Vaea to see who you are for Tonga. You have become the image of Tupou maidens. You do your ancestors honor. God bless the day we walk together again in more celestial places.

Does the Princess Royal outrank the Queen? I ask because I saw Her Royal Highness on a seat whilst Her Majesty was on the floor... Not a criticism, just an observation.

The Queen is higher, she just lowered herself as a sign of respect to the only daughter of his late Majesty Tupou IV and only sister of King Tupou VI.

Christopher Cappella Well not really ... the fathers older sister are called fahu in Tongan tradition. They are the one who has the right to sit in front table for there brothers children for events and celebrations, and also gets respect by them, however it’s there choice. Also the fahu sits on a chair located near the head of her brothers child if they pass away. It can be either the fahu or one of the fahu’s child.(I believe) But this does not apply to the royal family, but by this video it shows that Her royal majesty the Queen holds that respect towards the Princess as she is the fahu. So HRH the Queen actually shows a sign of humbleness. 😀😀😀😀
