You won't have to wait long. There was actually a leak that said that he plans on playing for the Flyers in 2024. He told the other teams that he wouldn't report to camp until his current KHL contract is over. But, he supposedly told The Flyers that he would break his contract for them because he wants to be a Flyers. He literally asked to be one.

@@sirfish9824We're not going to be waiting long. His agent accidentally outed that he plans on "being at the 2024 camp and making The Flyers roster". Michkov's words. The tweet was quickly taken down though as one, he lives in a country that is anything but free. And, he told all the other teams that he didn't want them to draft him and that he was going to stay in the KHL if they did. He asked The Flyers to draft him and told them he would break his KHL contract to play in Philly. That's why he didn't go 2nd overall. At one point, most scouts had him above Bedard.

Not drafting DeBrincat sorta stings still, but Caufield is meh… If he was good I’d understand why you’d say that, but he’s an inconsistent overachiever for the most part. And he doesn’t overachieve by much either. He’s a Dollar Tree Sami Kapanen.

It's like watching a more skilled Danny Briere. This kid looks like he could chase many of the NHL scoring records. Yes I'm from Philly and yes, I'm very passionate but I know this kid will need time to develop. I have all the confidence in the world in Danny and Jonesy. They along with Torts will be patient with Michkov. Somewhere, Mr. Snider is smiling. It kind of feels like back when we had Bob

I wouldn't be surprised if Flyers look to pursue someone like Zegras knowing he could be available to match the talent of Michkov. They also need to put him on the wing and use that one-timer on the PP. That could definitely help those terrible PP numbers from last year.

Could be. If you watch basketball the best comparison of Michkov I have is Luka doncic if he was under contract in Spain when he got drafted. Michkov has played against men since he was 15.

Most goals of this highlights are on PP... Some others are against poor goaltenders that will never make it to the big leagues... Not really impressing, really. Can we see how he plays without the puck?

Ivan Demidov is AY better than Michkov! Demidov is abut speed of execution, incredible vision and passing ability, playmaking...as for Michkov, when he does a dangle, it's only to get a shoot...always about him shooting...a lot of Michigan...very individual player...that's why many teams passed on him! And he had a ery bad attitude towards everybody...he might become Yakupov 2.0 there is no way with his attitude that he will go right with Tortorella!!!

They were essentially tied with each other until Russia invade Ukraine so it threw everything out of sorts. Nobody really minded the KHL contract more so than that.
