Yeah I was watching a behind the scenes friends, the one they were in Vegas. And the writers would huddle between takes to try and come up with funnier lines than what was on paper. And whenever they couldn't come up with anything they went to Matthew to see what would be a better line. And both times he instantly came up with the funniest line right there on the spot with no time wasted and blew them all away. He really was Chandler.

This post describes my sentiments EXACTLY! I too have learned more about him in the last week than I ever knew/realized before. Incredible how much pain he went through - both emotionally and physically. I have always loved Friends and will continue to enjoy it - albeit with immense sadness for his untimely departure. RIP Matty 💔

But, you don't know what, or how much, Batman stuff he's got in that room in his house.

RIP he was a comedic genius. There are so many clever lines in this and he delivers them in such a deadpan way. Because he was so clever and witty, it makes his passing all the more sad.

It’s great seeing Matthew and his Batman obsession. Chandler was, by far,my favorite in FRIENDS. But when he was suddenly so thin I worried about him. I knew about the accident, his injury and the prescription drugs. But that was all I knew. I loved him in his performances after FRIENDS. If you haven’t seen THE RON CLARK STORY you need to see it. He was wonderful on WEST WING. He was just gone too soon. His hour on LARRY KING LIVE just made me love him so much. When I saw his interview with Diane Sawyer I immediately bought his book. It rips your heart out. We find out so much we weren’t aware of. Or, I wasn’t, anyway. We’re lucky to still have him. I treasure this guy. Now I’m watching reruns of FRIENDS, which I never did once it ended. Thank you for just 8 minutes with this wonderful guy.

So happy Matthew Perry is opening up and sharing with so many of us more about his struggle with addiction and who he really is. Love this so much. I’m very grateful to creators, writers, actors, and crew who brought Friends to life. Got me through some tough times in my life and I’ll always be grateful to Matthew Perry for that ❤

Rewatching this after learning that he's gone. We never truly know someone's struggle but Matthew decided to share his in his book. His pain was indescribable but I hope he can rest now. I'm speechless and so sad for his suffering when he brought so much laughter and light to other people. He reached true enlightenment as well as self-awareness and I'm glad of that. He came full circle but I'm also dismayed that his story ended like this. He truly made it his mission to understand his disease and the affliction he was so tortured by.

10 things he can't live without... 1 person we can't live without. Rip🙏♥️

Could I BEEE anymore of a Batman fan? Love this. Love his bravery for being open about his problem but also his humor that can't be hidden despite his problem.

I'm reading his book now and it's so well written. As a kid I had an obsession with friends and would binge it all the time my mum got sick of it cause to this day I know all the lines 😂 but I had no idea of his struggles until a few years ago. So glad he's healing and sharing his story. Thank you Matthew for all the wonderful memories ❤️ his batman stuff is so cute, what a sweetheart.

I got his book on audible and I couldn't put it down. As he narrates, you feel with him through the struggles, battles and ups and downs. But when he says he felt a failure I have to argue. He is NOT. He is a winner, a voctor instead of a victim and an inspiration for others. His honesty is so touching and heart warming. Despite all his struggles he has come through the other side. True it's daily, but, you only get one day at a time anyway! Thank you Matthew for sharing your story. You are still much loved not just for friends but for YOU.

I love Matthew Perry! He is so funny! I think he was the funniest member of friends because of the dry humor! He seems to be doing well, and he is so great at keeping our attention with his stuff! Whoa. Matthew’s speech is far sharper than it was in the last 5 years. He sounds like his old self. I’m so happy to hear him speak.

I can relate to him on many levels, went through the pain. Everyone’s journeys is different but knowing one of my favorite actors was battling the same disease as a kid, meant the world to me. I knew I could fight it as well. His films helped me through some of the most dark periods, like The Whole Nine Yards. RIP Matthew, stand up guy. We all have our demons, he didn’t hide his, and he faced them head on. You will not be forgotten.
