A lot of people talk about how Tom and Greg were so dynamic (Which they were) but lets not forget how great Matthew and Sarah Snook were acting along side each other. Matthew was damn acting powerhouse every time he was on screen in Succession.

Macfadyen was just sitting there being his usual jovial self, all the while knowing he's actually playing the most ruthless killer of all time.

Matthew is a great actor -- his portrayals in 19th Century costume dramas are 180-degrees from Tom. And yet he's absolutely persuasive in all of them.

Wow this dude has an incredibly accurate d-bag American accent. Never even thought for a second he wasn’t American. Fantastic actor!

I had no idea he was British til this interview lol. As for Sarah I couldn't tell until the beginning of one episode of the show her accent faltered only slightly and I was like- wait is she not really american?!?!?

He’s a great actor but he’s specifically doing a flat Midwestern accent but not overly twangy (makes sense since Tom is an educated Minnesotan); not just an “American” accent (which doesn’t exist any more than a “British” accent does). I’ve noticed that while the best British actors can totally nail those many of them struggle with more intensely regional ones, like Deep South or Boston. The non American actors on True Blood for example sound terrible 😂

I’ve only seen him in Pride and Prejudice he was so good in that role and I loved watching him walk. The scene at the end when he is walking to see her just such a presence. So great to see him out of character and recognize how that character is not him at all and what a great actor does how he becomes the character so fascinating ❤

The whole time I was expecting him to flip the hosts desk! Season 3 Tom was one of the better performances I’ve seen from an actor in years, and his story line is incredible. bravo to Matthew and the writers for making secondary characters matter ✌️

Casual Seth has been such joy to watch and guests seem comfortable too

Tom - one of the best characters on the show. I love his and Greg's dynamic.

This show hooked me when Cousin Greg said " umm I feel like I don't want to be in the death zone " 😆

He makes Tom such a adorkable character. At first, I thought he was kind of a prick, like he said to Greg himself, but as you keep watching the episodes, you see he's really awkward and he's trying so hard to fit into the family. That's why he's fond of Greg somehow, cause Greg's the sort of misfit and outsider and keeps a weight off Tom's shoulders. Idk... im still on season 1

Matthew Macfadyen is one of my favorite actors period and his wife Keeley!

Saw Matthew and had to click...LOVE HIM!!! Ever since 2005's Pride & Prejudice when he made all of us fall in love with him and he was OUTSTANDING in Ripper Street also ... even his voice is sexy ❤️❤️❤️

MacFadyen seems to be so shy, but he makes a good effort to do these interviews. He's such a talent, I have to watch Succession.

Look how gorgeous Matthew is and such an amazing,superb actor...

He was my absolute favorite character on succession and I was rooting for him the entire time through the show!😆

I’ve loved him since he was on MI5. One of his most powerful roles was Paul in “In My Father’s Den”.

Matthew MacFadyen is such an endearing man.. as well as a quintessential actor .. and he is absolutely beautiful in every way .. This interview was delightful .. Matthew has such a likeable aura about him .. really appreciate this interview .. both Matthew and the interviewer appeared totally comfortable and having a pleasant chat .. and Matthew is so appealing and humble .. vanity is checked at the door when Matthew is involved .. Just binged watched season one and two and man was I hooked! Its got dark humor and twists, and the locations were fantastic! A lot of guilt free voyeurism of people in castles, penthouses, private jets and yachts. But under it all is a very dysfunction family who's money has warped them all. Cant wait for season 3!

What a lovely man he is! :) I was absolutely shocked this was Mr Darcy in Succession, what a GREAT actor!!

I first discovered him (and Keeley) like 20 years ago when MI-5 came out (original UK name is Spooks). They are both fantastic... I actually just started re-watching MI-5 last weekend... forgot how they were just babies haha! Matthew is amazing in Ripper Street... which is one of my favorite shows and I see that Netflix took it off... bummer! Thanks for having him on, Seth!

I totally adored "Ripper Street" myself. I was lucky enough to have been able to tape most of it, and will cherish them. It is another wonderful series where the chemistry he shared with Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg was utterly wonderful (to me, at least). Dark, yet captivating. So well done. One of the best period piece of the Victorian era of Whitechapel, London.

He is one of my favorite actors but I didn't realize it was him on this show because his character and accent are so different. What a shape shifter!

"Ripper Street" my peeps. If you haven't seen it yet, do watch it. He is FABULOUS in it.

For over a decade I've called this man Mcfayden.

He can make himself sound so nasty but really his voice is so beautiful.

Yep... MI-5 in the US for the reason mentioned below. Also, fun fact... the producers had to work a deal with the actors union. If you notice, there are no acting credits in the show... at least in earlier seasons/series. The writers wanted to add to the anonymity of the characters (spies) so they chose to have no credits. I think they made deal that they'd appear in the DVD and also on a website.

He deserves one but I think the supporting actor Emmy will go to Kieran Culkin. There’s a slight pro-American bias, which is natural.

Look him up in the BBC drama warriors. You will truly understand what an amazing actor he really is.

Tom is easily the best character in Succession.

Recently, emails from one of my officious (a perfect word) relatives to an attorney seemed modeled by his character's testimony to Congress. Both...hilarious, if it is to be said. Loved Matthew's character. I can see a spin-off like Better Call Saul. He has the chops.
