Came here to say this exactly. He has a charismatic, almost oddly hypnotic quality to his performance, especially in the scenes where he's pitching a film. Plus he has a slightly nasaly voice, which he amps up in the show, presumably to reflect Evans' well-documented fondness for Colombian marching powder. Fantastic performance.

I have loved him ever since Chasing Liberty.

His movies, Chasing Liberty with Mandy Moore and Leap Year with Amy Adams, will always be on my choice list whenever I want to watch some romcom

Of all the work I've seen Matthew Goode do in film I'd say his portrayal of Robert Evans is probably the best acting he's done. His voice mannerisms are perfect. Good Job, Matthew!

I’m realizing I may have never heard his regular accent before. He’s always playing such posh, upper crust people. It’s a lovely accent.

One of my favourite actors. Loved him as Adrian Veidt in The Watchmen.

I bet you can’t distinguish from all the accents in another English-speaking country so why does it bother you that non British people will say British when they can’t pinpoint the accent.

Ah I watched The Offer a lil late but I have to talk about how good Matthew Goode was! I was just waiting for him to come on my screen throughout the show. He played a very charismatic, unique person with an interesting voice and somehow nailed it perfectly. I forgot I was even watching Matthew. I wish more people were talking about this damn portrayal!

Never noticed Mathew Goode until the Offer. Great to hear him talk about what he did to develop his portrayal of Robert Evans, especially that he was wise enough to avoid imitating Bob in his later years. I will definitely be checking out his other work.

Yes, Matthew does a stellar job in the role. Just look up any of Evans videos here from the 70s and he's got the mannerisms and tone to a T. Also, Juno Temple iand Miles Teller are a delight on this series as well.

Surprisingly that wine show was so funny and entertaining with the two of them. And Im not even into wine. They were so funny & charming.

He was born just a few years after me, i grew up in the 80s and i dont know what set it off but American Football at that time got really big here in the uk, i remember my Dad went to florida one year and brought back some miami dolphins items for me, i seem to remember the Giants were my team at the time.
