True. It started up Arrow Dynamics as a company

I was in Disney in December and i rode this at night. It was so beautiful being able to see its a small world with all its Christmas lights up for just a split second through the hole in the mountain

One of the all time greatest "mountain" coasters ever but desperately needs re-tracked.

@@noobifiedarchived7319 they could do what they did when they retrofitted the Phantom's Revenge and have another company finish it. When Arrow built the Steel Phantom, Morgan retrofitted it into the Phantom's Revenge. Of course Morgan is also defunct

New sleds are too heavy for the existing track. It's a nightmare, along with the fact that the mountain itself is made with a layer of asbestos that is constantly crumbling. Keep it classy, Disney.

Definitely needs new rails

I remember going on this ride age about 5 and clinging onto my fathers head for dear life and never quite being the same ever again . Years later I faced my fear, took a deep breath and rode the Matterhorn coaster, twice!

The same thing happened to me! Except on guardians of the galxy 🌌

I remember what it was like in the early 70s ,,skyride running through it and you could see all the track inside. the lift hill was not at all dark. and when you reached the top it was wide open inside the mountain. such a fun ride.

One of my all-time favorites!

At the end of the ride, the recorded voice telling you to remain seated - I swear its the same recording as when I was last there as a teenager in the 80s. The Yeti is new and improved but the ride looks the same as I remember it otherwise

Best to ride it at night! Feels way faster

Went there as a kid and this ride was closed. Was super upsetting since this is the only ride not at Disney World (wonder why) but I hope to ride it one day. Great footage.

Was my favorite growing up and most of my life. Took my kids for the first time in quite a while and my youngest had never ridden it. I am pretty sure it was the last time I’ll ever ride it unless the redo the entire track. Felt like a bad visit to a drunk chiropractor. It was WAY bumpier then I remembered and not even enjoyable as a result.

Still one of my favs. Not sure what was going on with Yeti lighting here. I still hate the new bobsleds. They only exacerbate the pain felt from the rough track. Plus, each train holds 25% less people.

They ruined the attraction with those new bobsleds. Too painful and uncomfortable for a tall guy like me. Used to love this ride.

Wow, i gotta go there someday. This ride looks excellent. It looks like it picks up speed halfway thru. 👌 AWESOME. I have only been to Disney in Florida. And from the things im reading, i dont ever want to go back. I never went to California. Is CALIFORNIA DISNEY better than the FLORIDA DISNEY? THANKS

I have been going to Disney World in Florida my whole life, I think it is a great place. I went to Disneyland in California for the first time last month as part of my birthday California trip, and it was great as well! However, in my opinion, Disney World is better. It is bigger, has more rides and more things to offer, and it has more parks (Disney only has two parks in California). Out of the two parks in California, I think it's second park, Disney's California Adventure, is better! It is so amazing, I just love it!! I recommend both of the Disney California parks, because I think they are both great parks! I think Disney World is better, but I can't say that Disneyland is horrible or not worth it. It _is_ worth it, especially California Adventure! And yes, I agree, this ride, Matterhorn Bobsleds, which is in the first park, Disneyland, is lots of fun!! It's not as amazing as Mount Everest from Animal Kingdom (the fourth park in Disney World Florida), but it is indeed a fun ride that will not waste your time!

@@SheWolf_Warrior HEY SHEWOLF WARRIOR, Thankyou for your info. I have been to DISNEYWORLD IN FLORIDA, a half dozen times. And i loved it each time, and always wanted to go back. Its been 20 yrs. I respect your opinions, as you would respect mine . I dont like what i hear. I dont like that their prices are super ridiculous. But, that is everywhere. I heard cali is nice but not as big or better than florida. I had people tell me it sux, and from what heard, i probly will not go there. But, i do things for me. I dont let things that i hear make any of my decisions. I rode that coaster in animal kingdom. I liked it, but got sick after going backwards. Lol. I went back to hotel and died. Lol. Thnx again for your info. I love florida, and hope to move their, or cali, or texas. Who knows. I mite have to go back and see for myself. Have a blessed weekend. Glen

@@R1valz Arrow just designed it, it was built in-house. It's not like that's some special magical track, any company can make it.

@@R1valz I'm aware of Arrow. But the track didn't need smoothing. The ride was fine until Disney replaced the trains in 2012.

Can anyone tell me if there are any big drops of this ride?
