Anyone glad to see how Matt handles a log on a cyclocross bike now vs a few years ago? 👏👏👏

I was skeptical of Matt’s goatee look at first but it has been growing on me over time. It makes him look like a “rad gravel rider.” 😆 Being completely honest though, that shot of Matt running with the bike around 1:17 looks super cool.

I just bought one today from Incycles. The bike is very comfortable and stable. I test-drove a Pinarello Grebil F and am not comfortable with it. It rides like a road bike. Super Six is just very comfortable and is not twitchy at all.

Yeah, Cannondale really should make this frame compatible with road wheels, rider could freely choose wheels depends on terrain. I would go all in for it.

@@442484184 I mean technically you can use any wheel with this bike, you just have to re-dish it to be centered. The issue is that any wheel you use with this bike, can't be used with your other bikes and the other way around too.

Re-dish the wheel? No thanks. My Litespeed Watia handles multiple wheels and tire sizes (up to 700x45) with no issues. I'm sure Cannondale doesn't mention that wider chainline impacting max chainring size.

Go back to my 2011 Giant TCX Advanced team bike, less disc brakes. Mine is still a joy to ride.

Why has the marketing around the Boone, Crux and SuperX pivoted to ‘Lightweight Gravel’ now all of a sudden instead of being committed to CX racing?? I get that commercially it’s a more affluent market but is it related to the strong supply-chain headwinds, meaning that there are less bikes available to sell for more things to do?!

Are you more concerned about the marketing, or the physical geometry of the bikes? I think it's a judgement call by those manufacturers to try and double-dip in two potential markets. Besides, more mud clearance for cyclocross racers, more tire clearance for gravel riders, sounds like a win-win, thanks marketing team. *also, the SE trim is the exact same frame, just shod with more of a "gravel" kit and a different paintjob. To me, it looks like Cannondale doesn't want to invest in trying to build a dedicated frame based on what gravel racers think they will want for the next two years. "Here's a 'cross bike, put bigger tires on it, you only have two bottle mounts, you figure it out, and give us £4850 thank you very much."

It's only a subtle aero though so why bother when the previous model was fine. I like the exposed cabling and hoses and mechanical shifters. A second set of road wheels and you'd have a great versatile bike.

CX bikes make fine gravel bikes. Most people don’t do multi-day rides.

Quite a cheeky move from Cannondale. Copy/paste the geometry of the old bike, change the tube shapes, put some SRAM Force 1 from 2016 on it, sell for £4,000. Oh, and they offer it with the bottom-spec SRAM groupset and wider tires for the low low price of £4,850. "Gravel".

Can you bring back the cafe ride PLZ...

This bike was really easy to assemble kzread.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
