Yay! Another Matt video!
I wish I had offcuts like that!
I’ve got the Rockwell versions of both (green/puke green/black) and it has come in super handy when artistic adventures in outfeed have been need. I have a simple 24”x24” bit of plywood that I mounted a length of 2”x4” glued and screwed into the underside of on the 2” edge. It makes for a great stand to pull out into the yard for finishing smaller items or as a quick makeshift table to lay tools on when working outdoors in the spring/fall. They’ve definitely been a solid purchase and were particularly great when I built some timber framed items for the backyard, when a neighbor needed a hand building a monster wood jungle gym, and when doing a big repair on a vehicle where setting tools/parts right at hood height just hit the spot.

I have a bit of a grin when I see people enjoying triton products that I was selling 25 years ago in Australia where they where originally designed and made. The irony being we can't buy them easily anymore.

Nice project--really useful, and extends the utility of the multi-stand. [that was a lovely piece of cherry you used]
I have been doing similar worksite table tops for years( ever since I discovered T tracks) I dont bother cutting a channel but set them as a square stop just by screwing them to the surface.They make a vice like clamp if you mount them sideways in 2s or 3s to avoid denting the workpiece
And you build barns also.
