Matt Best's Off-Road Sportster

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

If you've seen a Prism Supply photo or video pop up in your feed, you've seen Matt's work.
He's been shooting for the majority of his life and riding motorcycles for even longer. So, when Jake signed up for The Vintage 1,000 and needed someone who could capture the trip and ride off-road, Matt was on deck and ready to rip.
But, in order to make it work, he needed a bike that was semi capable off-road and could haul his gear. So, Mitch built the Sportster you see today with the exception of a few small things here and there.
Take a look to hear the story about Matt's 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster.

Coming from the dual sport world and having been wanting to dip my toes into the cruiser world, y’all just did me a massive favor.. y’all need to hit the Smokey Mountain 500 on these.. would be perfect and I’ll now be looking for a pre 1980’s Harley…

Cool man, people don’t realize this is what motorcycles were originally for, back then roads weren’t paved and most the mail delivery or cops had motorcycles cause they could get around better on dirt, I have a Honda rebel 250 and I took that thing on mountain roads, trails, and even ramped it a couple times and I don’t even have knobby tires it’s all stock

The harbor freight carriers are mounted backwards on the lid side. This puts all the stress and weight on the hinges. Thats why they are breaking. Overall the bike looks cool. I like the off road look.

The classic style fuel tank always looked better then the weird lozenge style later ones. The flat track brakeless front looks kool indeed but I've tried the "scream and pucker" stopping method on choppers so not for me. A light single disc off a dirt bike could be an easy install and look good too. BTW if you decide to race next time late 1970s Ironheads are cheap and would do fine built like that Evo.
