Matt Best's Off-Road Sportster
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
If you've seen a Prism Supply photo or video pop up in your feed, you've seen Matt's work.
He's been shooting for the majority of his life and riding motorcycles for even longer. So, when Jake signed up for The Vintage 1,000 and needed someone who could capture the trip and ride off-road, Matt was on deck and ready to rip.
But, in order to make it work, he needed a bike that was semi capable off-road and could haul his gear. So, Mitch built the Sportster you see today with the exception of a few small things here and there.
Take a look to hear the story about Matt's 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster.

If you leave your bike down whyle running, you are just a idiot.
Beautiful bike! Please start selling that rear rack on your site 🙏
Love it! The slick pegs seem a bit out of place off road, but I guess it got you bye just fine this far, awesome build
I love sportster so much. The old ones are prime
Evo Sporty offers a lot for little money. Fun bike.
Coming from the dual sport world and having been wanting to dip my toes into the cruiser world, y’all just did me a massive favor.. y’all need to hit the Smokey Mountain 500 on these.. would be perfect and I’ll now be looking for a pre 1980’s Harley…

Not pre 80's the 1986 is the only good sportster. The 1100. Good luck

Yeah, avoid anything built prior to the evolution era unless you LOVE turning wrenches in the middle of nowhere.
Man I have a 1989 sportster, I'm seriously thinking about making it offroad. looks so fun.
I love these dirtster bikes and the 70's flair on the evo looks great!
I dig it! what's not to love about a 1200cc V-twin adventure bike?! :D
Brilliant look. My kind of adventure bike 👏
Too much fun ! Love the bike !
That things scoots along really good.
Sick bike bro 👊 Looks like it will go anywhere 😊👌
Ayyyyye choppers and fujifilm!
haha crazy way of driving a Sportster, you can definatly see that he was riding dirt bikes in the older days :D :D :D
I second making the rack! I would love one for my '22 Sportster.
Cool man, people don’t realize this is what motorcycles were originally for, back then roads weren’t paved and most the mail delivery or cops had motorcycles cause they could get around better on dirt, I have a Honda rebel 250 and I took that thing on mountain roads, trails, and even ramped it a couple times and I don’t even have knobby tires it’s all stock
Can already tell by the looks of it, gonna be my speed 🤙🏼.
I would have done exactly that 😂 looks like good fun
You can get sharpy off glass/metal easy with rubbing alcohol, but I dig the artwork, lol.
Bloody nice bike. 😎👍
The harbor freight carriers are mounted backwards on the lid side. This puts all the stress and weight on the hinges. Thats why they are breaking. Overall the bike looks cool. I like the off road look.
Prism parts are very low quality and mine always breaks, never again.

They're crap, I had to return a lot of their parts and their customer service stinks.
That surfer dude, Zach? He should start making tank bags, if he isn't already!
Awesome !!!!
super rad bike!
He is a bad boi!
That's the way to go!!!
This build is tempting me........
The classic style fuel tank always looked better then the weird lozenge style later ones. The flat track brakeless front looks kool indeed but I've tried the "scream and pucker" stopping method on choppers so not for me. A light single disc off a dirt bike could be an easy install and look good too. BTW if you decide to race next time late 1970s Ironheads are cheap and would do fine built like that Evo.
What size rear shock do you use?
Bring back the tracker bar’s please. I need a set.
That's the meanest sounding dirtbike ever
I love it
That is how a bike is supposed to be used and not mothballed!
That guy shreds
Now that's a properly modified Harley!
now i want one.
What size shocks?
Man, I want it
This bike is dope! What rear tire do you running? Is it Shinko SR?

BAD BOI
cool !!!!
Who else came here thinking about another Matt Best
if it goes offroad you should have a spark areseter
@sloppyoppie

Please stay on the pavement. That way you'll never see the several million spark arrestor-LESS bikes out there.
No front brake? Seems pretty reckless. I'm sure no fender gets old too. Otherwise cool bike dude.

No front fender gonna have to like water and mud in your face
Cool
❤😊
That is Fuckin Awesome!
Not sure why harley never made a scrambler like triumph or Ducati, it seems like theres alot of Americans out there that want a offroad scrambler style harley
Dude, you need to contact Hollywood, I bet movies be all over an inexpensive, mild off road capable, Harley
rad
You’ve made the Days Gone bike
Beutttiful
Can you guys make a rack for us photographers please!
Can you start making those handlebars….please
nicest sportster ever
очень круто, молодец.
Days Gone bike😎
Start making parts for 1983 Sportys 😢
why take off the front fender? WHY??
this is exactly what i would want in a bike down to the oil plug
BAD BOi
The Baja 1k this year is a "reverse'r"
Call it *The Dirtster*
Haddalayerdown
The kind of bike Harley need to be selling
Do I just now know anything about old Harleys or is there no front brake?
great bike shame about its engine, fit a Honda XL250 engine from the 1980s and you will have a truly great bike, or just buy a honda XL250 and have great suspension, good ground clearance and electrics that work,
fucking wild man, sketchiest riding ive ever seen hahha
What is the bike please?
Call that a Dual-Sportster
an iron head is best for off-road!
quite a good idea, but how you tread her is a shame !
where fromt brake ??😔😔
Rode just like a rented mule.
Get that helmet on safety first you can't make a right out of the wrong sweet bike.
Honda Aist better. Watch in youtube
nice bike, awful tires.
No brake. No thanks.
My 1986 sportster 1100 is faster and way better than pre 81. Very first year of the evolution. Stock it was sand cast, ported and polished
I think your coil location sucks! Bad location for a off-road bike. Nice and low for brush and sticks to grab at your wires
BAD BOI
