Great review as always Ben. I've just picked up a good, used condition S36 Lime for £175. Give it 12 months and this new XR36 will be the next upgrade box I'll be looking for.

Hi there Ben , the first section under the seat, which some think is no use, will except the matrix winder trays perfectly, I put a bit of velcro on mine so it won’t budge, great use of space 👍

What a box that is it looks stunning the colours are amazing maybe we all could do with lightening our gear the h frame is a very good idea maver have been doing them for ages so you can add or take away as you please it looks a winner to me Ben .

@@Angling4U I'm the same I buy everything that comes on the market I can't get my car in the garage.as I see it you only live once us tackle tarts must stick together lol.

This box is really a good innovative concept. Very stable with D36 and wide H frame. Easy to set up in water in most situations. Easy to store once dismantled. The patented platform mecanism is good but the handle is sometimes difficult to pull before sliding. Any piece of advice will be appreciated. Greetings from France.

Looking to buy my first ever seatbox and this looks just about perfect for my needs as a pleasure angler. Does the model featured differ in any way to the 2002 versions currently on sale?

Nice looking box, and yes the black legs look better than the silver ones It Will be interesting what the foot plate catch is like after it is blathered in mud Also, does the front of the H frame rub on the back of your legs when sat on it? Looks awkward to me

no not really it will never move I will adjust from the bottom legs. But i will do a long term test

matrix xr36 comp 16.6 KG -- matrix s36 - 18.5 KG ----- Preston inception hframe sl30 - 11.75 KG . The map H30 Lite = 9kg. Of course all of these boxes will add weight if you add stuff to it but these are listed weights as standard fittings from new. If you want a much lighter h frame than say the s36 (i do the s36 is so heavy) I would suggest the preston or the map.

Having used the newer Maps I agree

My first reaction is to run to the shop to get one of these ligth en sturdy s36 boxes. But .... there is always a but .. haha, then I have to replace all my 30mm gear (wich I have now) for the 36mm to fit these legs. With inserts you can make the rests smaller to fit but not bigger !

Hello Ben , looking at getting this seatbox. I just wondering how stable it is on a trolly or barrow? Does the foot plate flex when closed up and would it cause any problems been on a trolly or barrow. Any info would be much appreciated, chris

Yes it fits on the barrow. Have a look on the angling 4 u facebook as there is a bundle deal fishing tackle & bait are doing ATM

Ben comparing it with the weight of your old RIve box would you say this is much lighter? I have a Rive and its killing me weight wise, great kit but too heavy and I was looking at this box? Thanks Griffo

excellent mate, I've been looking for a new box for a while, preferably one where I can take the foot plate off, I feel like they make me too high and most places I fish have proper flat platforms anyway, ..how much are they though, I don't think I caught that though?

Get the map h30 you save £150 and its a lighter box

Sorry to dis h frames ben but alot of them have a lot of draws in and end up being very heavy when filled with gear

Yeah but i got it to carry less gear fits everything i need in it. Personally I would of got the pro if i needed the space
