Mind blowing thing is that almost 25 years later more and more scientists really suspect we do live in the matrix, or to say in more professional words, that our reality may not be the base reality and we live in a computer simulation. Those are predictions because of our own technology advancement rate and calculations which lead to conclusion that there is a high possibility that in the future humans will be able to create a computer able to simulate as complex world as our universe. That would mean this most definitely happened many times before in higher levels of reality. Many phisical observations also lead to such conclusions, like quantum physics which may proove that only what we look at is simulated, but when no one is looking, there is nothing being simulated, like in a video game. It's a method of saving computational power and resources, which makes sens only in a simulation, not in a true physical world. For example a spin of a photon is only "decided" when it is "looked at", before observing it, a photon does not have any spin or a physical location. Quantum entanglement also leads to the fact that there has to be something "working behind the courtain", because it transcends the speed of light, prooving that information can travel faster than light, or that it is sent from somewhere else than we think.

5:25 happened the other way round for me. I grew up with The Matrix, saw it first when I was in middle school. Didn't understand it much back then. I saw Keanu first in Speed, then The Matrix. Went through a 'love Keanu' phase then a 'hate Keanu' phase, then got back into the 'love Keanu' phase. Outgrew The Matrix, then chance rewatched it in my 20's, understood the philosophy, realized just how deep it was, fell in love with it again despite the flaws. THEN came into John Wick. So at that point of time, 30-something me was like "Way to go Neo!! You done did it!!"

Funny thing because of the lack of marketing the opening night didn’t have a whole lot of people at the theater, the following week when word got out about the movie all the theaters were packed.

Before the film, Uncle is correct when he talks about the contribution of elderly people. Young folks have become so callous, and they often disregard elderly people as if they have no value. Elders are community's memory, they are its wisdom, and its soul. Elderly people should be respected, and helped. Most who have survived to become old have much wisdom to share, if other people would only listen. Young people should heed their elders' advice more than they do today, and use the knowledge they can impart to live better lives themselves.

They did have a channel with many more subscribers, but they got three copyright strikes and had to start again, not that long ago. • @Trazynn

KZread doesn't apply the law. It's the (supposed) copyright owners who strike. The channel can contest each strike, then escalate it and then it will be taken to court, all happens outside of KZread's purview. It's just that this is not something small channels can afford and that's how IP owners can bully the small channels.

Also, there is no law protecting reactions. Not even in the US, really. What there is protects "transformative" content, critique and parody. A channel aiming to be "transformating" has to do a little more than they're doing to be honest. At least some more talking at the end, with some good editing.

I couldn't wait to see what they made of the opening scene and Trinity's fight - and Bullet Time. I was not disappointed :) Man, I wish I could see this movie again for the first time. I'll never forget how it made me feel when it was released. I already knew quite a bit about movie-making technology and tricks when I went to see this, and I had no forewarning of the Bullet Time material. My jaw dropped open, at first in stunned disbelief, and then in admiration, as I began to figure out how they had accomplished those shots. Truly an epoch-making moment in cinema.

Maybe not a computer simulation, but another world layerd on top of the one presented to us with rules that apply to some but not others totally resonates with me My dad is a Freemason(wich is a literal secret society) so i already know for a fact there is some validaty to this.

Yep, they need to rewatch it alone with time to consider what else the script could be saying. There are a few philosophical layers to it which is great for a movie this entertaining, it's always worth rewatching because of that tandem experience. Considering their lack of immersion in western society, they might never comprehend parts of the philosophy fully, which is just fine, it's great as a standalone action film without such understanding.

It's actually a metaphor for the trans experience (with some references to Hindu philosophy). The matrix of delusion is that of binary gender, that's why it's all binary code. And the Red Pill is how estrogen pills used to look back at the time of filming. The Wakowski's took their struggles with being trans and told it in the form of an action movie.

We had the advantage at the time in 1999 being used to concepts such as computer simulations, virtual reality human interface, gaming cheat codes and the knowledge that despite the incredible complexity, the human brain is essentially a computer and computers process and relay information. I remember when I first saw The Matrix I was confused until Neo said his eyes hurt to which Morpheus replied That's because you've never used them before. It's an awesome movie, the sequel was great too, the third was lacking and anticlimactic.
