Nice light box for the rivers and a lovely thought for your kids.. But as you say you are a bit of at tart so the colour match is perfect..😂😂. All joking aside a great recommendation for fishing and just taking light gear..Food for thought for me, cheers..

Recently got the f25 and its brilliant,i prefer a side draw over front draw,i also got the matrix winder tray that you would normally fit into the shallow tray unit,sanded the sides down a bit and it fits under the seat lid held in place with valcro to keep my pole rigs, i also got the trolley for this box and its is perfect,great box from matrix

Hi there , I too have the matrix F25 and is perfect for me, can I ask you about the trolley? Do you know if a large carryall can fit onto the trolley as well as the box? Thanks

Works really well with the front drawers AND the side drawers. Obviously costs more doing that though. Well worth getting a spacer for the bottom tray if you want to get much in it other than winders. I don't think it comes with rigs anymore? The spirit level on mine is useless. I just stuck a few tiny ones on it here and there.

Great little seatbox from Matrix that I know has been around for a few years now Ben.. I'm mainly a canal angler and Roving river angler nowadays..essential aspects I am looking for nowadays are lightness & a compact seatbox.. The P25 has both of these attributes so I think I will take the plunge & buy one.. it will also fit perfectly on my Preston Innovations Universal trolley for longish walks along the canal towpaths I fish.

Perfect box to be honest

Managed to buy a brand new one last year for 180 with tax and shipping included. Nice entry level unit if you ask me. Now they retail for about 260+

I've got this box it's awesome, I got another shallow side tray for mine, my only moan about it is that if you try and carry it over your shoulder using the strap it flips over, it's impossible to carry it old school

Hi ya mate,just reading the comments on this box as I bought it also, and just noticed that you say it flips over and it’s impossible to carry.? If you put the strap in the retainer on each side of your box, that will make it perfect for carrying 👍

These haven’t changed much in donkeys years , I have the Fox MSB ,which before Matrix it was Fox , I bought the new H frame and round legs to get away from the original square leg , mine was purchased from Mark Pollard (polly) many years ago when he was with Fox , I’d never change it it’s a great box system 👍🏻

What a bargain,t's a crakin bit of kit for the money looks new there's some good bargains to be had just do your homework and be patient.the box itself looks really nice don't no what it is about matrix gear but I'm loving it at the moment so well made the colour scheme everything about it just screams class yet another good review m8.

Im getting one too

I'm really having difficulty justifying moving on from my 15 year old Preston X3 metal clip version. Frankly it does everything I need and I've never had a problem with leg stability, I only go on canals and commercials.I might just get a new custom seat and tidy it up a bit. I never got on with front drawers myself always got in the way.

Hi Ben, may I ask you which box do you recommend P25 or S25? I am 190cm tall and I am hesitating because maybe the P25 will be small for me, but I really like the adjustable seat on P25. On S25 probably I have to add extra item for the seat to set higher. Thank you for your answer.

Why did you go for the P25 over the F25? I've been looking at both and think I'd get the F25 for the deep side drawer.

Hi ben very helpful video so thank you. I know its nearly a year ago but im possibility thinking of going for either f25 or p25. Question is ive always had a deep base but because ive got my rods already set up i dont need put reels and bigger items in there so i just put my maggots hemp corn meat etc in the base but im trying to keep the box light so just wondering if one when i need to can you take the footplate off for some places i go to to save weight and also how do you go about taking your bait with you?

Wouldn’t the xr36 comp do the job of both

Hi again ben I've got a box at the moment is 10kg in weight so ive just been looking at these and was surprised when i think is says this box on your video is 13.5kg which i thought seemed quite heavy but then i realised the weight must include the footplate ?? If itll feel really light in when i take it to a few places without it?

Looks like a excellent box, at the moment i am using a platt-form series 3, you look like a large lad could you tell me the weight limit of the P25, not so much what box weighs but the weight limit of a person sitting on it, would it be as strong as my platt-form bearing in mind that mines is all aluminum and weighs empty about 14kg, another thing is the seat on the P25 doesn`t look as if it would take a large behind, what do you think

@@Angling4U Thanks for that, i didn`t mean you were a heavy weight, i just wanted to know what the limit of the box was as i`m nearer 20 stone, i have at the moment 19mm square legs and these seem to take my weight, was wondering about the P25 what that was like, wasn`t trying to be rude far from it

yes if you want a light box but if you can afford a s25 its a better box

The only downside to these boxes is the legs are too close to the seat so limits the side tray you can buy

I’m a beginner an a bit of a colour tart 😂 can the legs be changed to black instead of sliver ?!

f25 has side draws and more cassettes p25 has the front draws

newer model slightly different storage

this looks like a good box im 5 10 and about 118 kilos on a good day "no thyroid n all" maybe it will be ok i also prefer h box
