Happy to see same tradition from thousand miles away from its origins. Same tradition is part of any hindu wedding in UP or Bihar India. After hundred of year still remain same. Kudos to you guys who still keep alive such awesome tradition. Whenever you plan to visit India please let us know, For sure will show you same tradition and culture here. Love from india❤️

Can't believe, how our distant relative in far away countries r still following hindu bihari rituals, similar to ones in bihar, although with some western touch, but as I see almost all words used r as same as it is used now. Kudos to them "our customs zinda rakhne ke liye"

However as I remember dig Dutty usually happens under a tree .This is commonly practiced in Queens NY as well as in New Jersey. Comments any one. My best friend got married a few years ago in New Jersey and the dig Dutty took place under a tree. The tree was identified a few days before.
