The only thing that'd make this video better is if the dates/chapter numbers/years between would be stuck on the screen as long as they are relevant to one another. I find it hard to memorise every "number" you say, and it would make it way easier to see this connection. I feel they would hit harder. Thanks for the upload.

Similar to East Blue, I think that’s why Wano Act 3’s ending was such a letdown with a ton of setups that weren’t paid off because he rushed to the end to hit 100 chapters

You def can tell Oda was influence by "something" during wano arc. hence the mix review by fans. my guess is the pressure to promote Film Red and having to oversee Netflix live action. You can tell even with the manga panel inconsistent dialog bubble cramp into a single page 😵‍💫

Since Wano ended I've thought that the Elbaf arc would have to be a four way conflict between Cross Guild, The Red Haired Pirates, The Blackbeard Pirates and The Straw Hat Pirates. It made sense to me as Elbaf is important and couldn't possibly be short but it still lacked a major conflict which this idea would fill, as well as the fact that it's also called Warland it'd just make sense to tie up heaps of loose threads there all at once.

I think its amazing that Oda can make such an amazing series, and then on top of that somehow manages to sprinkle in all of these easter eggs, without compromising the quality of the story at all

Absolutely incredible. It just fits so well with the parallels and pacing of the story, even if some may be coincidence there is clearly a conscious effort to keep chronological significance constant

fun fact, gear 5 has been foreshadowed in every chapter ending in 44, luffys laugh is shi shi which is 44 in japanese, 1044 is the g5 nika reveal, chapter 44 is when patty slams gin through a table with a giant fist, gin has a blue dragon on the back of his shirt, 744 is when sabo eats the mera mera the power of the sun and the same chapter usopp is dubbed god usopp, 844 is when sanji fights luffy in whole and one of the panels make it look like luffy has a head of fire. and on top of all of this the first time the first time we see the yami yami, blackbeards fruit is chapter 440 the opposite of luffys XX44 number scheme

Just to add a lil bit. The battle of Kips bay in 1776 during the american revolution had 30,000 men in the harbor, guns pointed at new YORK. The result of the battle was the revolutionaries essentially pulled out of NY. Not a lot to go off of, but interesting number of marines 🤔

Randy I think you were on point in the Vivi and Smoker theories!!!! What would be an amazing scene for us involving Smoker and Vivi is Smoker refusing to follow orders from Saturn to capture Vivi because He knows that Vivi would be better off with the Strawhats than with him and Smoker calling out not only his Superiors but also the Goroseis orders to kill Dr Vegnapunk!! Smoker might get a Red Dead Redemption 2 kind of scenario where like Arthur Morgan where Smoker is really questioning the motives of the WG and Marines, especially with him questioning why Dr Vegnapunk had to die and looking for the truth of King Cobras death especially if Vivi tells him what the world doesn’t know

I think this is your best video to date! I knew about the chapter anniversaries and even a little bit about the birthdays, but never knew about lining up the issues (which covers a lot of the breaks that throw off some of these number theories). Love the subtitles too, hope you keep doing them for these longer theory videos. Theory time: Personally I've never thought Vegapunk makes it out of this arc alive, I think he knows too much. So my guess would be that the first issue of next year (lining up with Chapter 395 where Clover talks about the Ancient Kingdom) is when Vegapunk finishes the sentence that Clover started and actually tells us the name of the Ancient Kingdom. Then he gets taken out by Saturn, which is who Clover was having the conversation with on the Den Den Mushi and gave the official word that Ohara had learned too much and needed to be taken out. All of this lines up if Dragon shows up in 1100, if Smoker shows up right before, and if Vivi and Morgans are pulling up with the Uber in 1103. Vegapunk dying also gives a way for the Straw Hats to "lose" this arc like Sabaody without getting beaten up as badly, which has been my guess of how this all ends.

I do like the idea of some sort of loss. VP being that is certainly devastating, but something tells me he dies elsewhere. Or is hurt badly and dies from his injuries in Elbaf or on the way there. But either way, I'm ready for that Uber to pull up!

I agree that Oda uses dates to plan who gets screen time when, but the dates still seem too arbitrary to predict things. Sometimes it’s ten years, or it’s eleven years, or sixteen years, etc. it also doesn’t help predict what will happen, only that we should expect one of the dozen characters who appeared that week in a previous year. At best you can make educated guesses every “anniversary.” It’s neat but semi-useful. Still more user a predictor than Oda’s powerscaling is 😂.

It would be really poetic if Luffy prevented BlackBeard from meeting/capturing/killing Crocodile. He did it in Arabasta, also in Impel Down ... maybe BlackBeard keeps this a secret even from his own crew. There are many theories that Croc has relations to Xebec, he already was hunting for the ancient weapons. It may be that BlackBeard and Croc were students or children of Xebec. Maybe WhiteBeard did not allow Croc on board because he was originally a girl, would explain the grudge from Croc ... and even why Sanji never met him. Oh and one huge hint about BlackBeard hunting Wapol was BlackBeard saying "I will devour everything.", he probably wanted the fruit.

I still think the granddaddy of all one piece theories involving numbers is the 1-10 devil fruit theory and the idea that there will be 13 straw hats because Sunny's name mean 13 or something, I dont remember the exact details. I also love the use of puns in the bounty posters, though they get lost in translations.

One thing that I really enjoy about this video is we won't have to wait long to see how the theory plays out. Often times theories are vague and wouldn't be proven true or false till the end of the story. But this theory is so interesting that it could be proven at least partially true very soon and will impact how we look at the larger story till it's end. Good shit

Randy this goes way deeper than you might think, let me blow your mind, The same week that the queen of England Elizabeth II died which made big news in the world, it was September 8, 2022 its date numerology being " 9+8+20+22 = 59 " One Piece chapter "1059" came out 4 days later and in that very chapter in the last page you had a Panel with three of the last Empresses of Amazon Lily all together in one panel for the first time showcasing different generations of queens next to the Dark King right hand man of the Pirate King. The chapter has 17 pages which has a direct connection with the number 59 because 59 is the 17th prime number which is why the Chapter is named after Koby because his name in gematria sums to 17. Oda is a heavy practitioner of Gematria and symbolism, another easy argument for this is Luffy's connection with the number 56 which you see throughout the story but its not a Japanese pun the real reason is that "Pirate King" equals 56 in English gematria.

I really wish we got Daddy Masterson in the manga. An old west gunslinger would be very cool. Izo is cool too, but he came so much later, and Benn Beckman is still a mystery.

The 1114 chapter was Super Close, we are starting a small starting section of the void centenary! I love some of the predictions but a lot of them are in the middle of Kuma's flashback maybe some reveals might land on birthdays/ dates.

Damn, props to you for the whole video in general. Saying so many dates and numbers has got to be a pain in the ass even if you're reading them off a prompt behind the camera. Great job as always, hope you're right about 1103 being a Vivi chapter.

This further confirms my belief that 1103 is the chapter where Vivi rejoins officially (although i wouldn't mind if the reunion happened earlier than that)

People have been onto Oda and his numbers for a long time. That being said however, you bring up some interesting points and might be onto something.

i'm still trying to figure out the 100 representations, I mean he uses the 100 too many times, like 100 bounty hunters at whiskey peak, 100 crew members at norland's ship, 100 years a man didn't got into amazon lilly, and severel other times, even on ace's novel he used 100 duels between ace and whitebeard, so that ace became whitebeard son, 100 pirates that law stoled their hearts, and so on, it's so many times, but since is just a number information i dunno if ppl realizes it, I hope I find some kind of answer in this video

I actually liked the Robin possibly being Luffys half-sister theory, thought it kinda made sense regarding what you mentioned about Dragon. I was surprised that Skypiea was not mentioned in the video, was there any correlation for our first hinting at Nika and the reveal of luffys fruit in the numbers? Additionally, Skypiea/Jaya was in hindsight such an important arc in terms of lore and world building that i assumed you would have some future predictions coinciding with it. Do you have any? Thanks for a great video!

The insane thing about your black beard theory on taking out Wapol in order to get to crocodile is how that would parallel luffy taking out Doflamingo to get to Kaidou. Wild!

It hurts my brain imaging how much thought has gone into one simple silly pirate adventure. One piece really is one of the greatest pieces of literature and art ever created.

My favorite math related theory was the one surrounding ch1043. How it can be read in Japanese as 'jyuu shi san' which confirmed Luffy was 'jushi san', a resin-man instead of a rubber-man. Good times

I believe this to be true. Oda knows the ending to his story hence, he has a laid out schedule he is sticking to no matter what. And he loves those parallels and numbers. The issue line up is too clean too, he definitely have some ocd going on in there😂

He even has the same exact dream as Nikola Tesla and the same reasoning for the dream, plus everything about his life relates exactly to Tesla's life, a lot of his research came from futuristic technology that is hidden from the public and is from the PAST. He even received funding from the elites that are above the United States government for his research because what good is a genius if they can not thrive. Would he use her as the role he initially had for Luffy and later Ace, as in hand her to the marines in order to become the Warlord? Or maybe recruit her as the opportunity to take the One Piece?

The whole story would be radically different, Marineford probably never would have happened because BB would have no need to capture Ace. Or, BB would have just killed Ace instead of using him as a chip.

@@RandyTroy it makes alot of sense right? I always found it worth noting how much warmth she has for Luffy, especially considering how "cool" she is otherwise. It's really like an older sister being bemusedly exasperated by her cute little brother's shenanigans.

There's also the "goroawase" to complement Oda and his numbers but you truly need to be a MASTER at Japanese and I'm still lacking at that. This is incredible though and in my head it's as good as confirmed until proven otherwise

Hey randy, I wanted to point out a list of reasons why I think hachinosu already was the marineford parallel instead of a setup from my observations Objective: Save Ace / Coby Old roger related legends try to save their favourite youngling (Marine / Pirate) Yonko attack marine HQ / Marine attack Yonko HQ WB surfaces from the sea / Garp flies in from the sky Ace dies / Coby survives Family gets tricked to stab WB / Villain stabs Garp with trickery Akainu donuts WB / Aokiji "donuts" Garp (rival admirals) Flashback of unexpected reqruitments during both fights ( Whitebeard convinces ace to join his crew / Blackbeard convinces aokiji to join his crew) BB captured ace / BB failed to capture Law Dying WB is serious and standing / "Dying" Garp is laughing and on his back Cowardly coby gets saved from akainus deadly blow / Brave coby saves his crew from a deadly blow There are much more clear parallel panels visually such as when coby+garp are side by side ready to fight / luffy+ace side by side redy to fight

I knew Oda loved numbers, but this video really puts it into perspective of how much Oda must think about this stuff. The chances of even a handful of these being pure coincidences seems less likely than me winning the lottery and getting struck by lightning twice at the same time.

in a way, after wano, and during egg head, I was a bit confused about how Oda would randomly jump to one scene to another that is on random, like at time we don't even know what to expect to come out of the chapters cause it could be during egg head or outside of egg head events. this video is starting to make sense why time was timed this way, with their anniversary and birthdays.
