Material Self | SOCIAL CLIMBER | "A Short Film on Material and Economic Self"

The idea of the "MATERIAL SELF" describes the facets of a person's personality that are associated with tangible goods or possessions. It's a facet of a person's self-concept that deals with the items or assets that they value highly in terms of characterizing who they are.
This might include a wide range of stuff, from tangible assets like clothing, electronics, or vehicles to more sentimental things like inherited family members or emotionally charged gifts. People's perceptions of themselves and how they show themselves to others might be influenced by their MATERIAL SELF. It's a component of the total self-image and can represent one's hobbies, values, and even social standing.
This is part of the final requirement of my GE-1 College Students.

This film gives a lesson about how we should be content with what we have. We must think first before wasting money on material things. The hard work of our parents isn't a joke. Being a social climber doesn't make us on top, we must learn to accept things that we have.

After i watched the film, i learned that whatever god gives us to our life we need to appreciate all the things we have.

Amazing film. Although it is only a short film, it was able to convey the message, emotions, and lesson that it aims to give. Lesson learned, we have to be contented with what we have and be appreciative of our parents' hard work. As the saying goes, "money does not grow on trees." Kudos to the actors and producers for making such a meaningful work of art!👏🎬

The film teaches us that our parents give up everything for us in order to meet both our needs and our wants. The best thing we can do for them is show them how much we care and work hard so we can one day spoil them.We should also be grateful for having hardworking parents. Seeing the film is that we shouldn't believe that money or material belongings would bring us happiness, instead, we should be happy with what we have and what our loved ones can provide us.

A short film that really touched my heart... This made me realize that it is better to be content with what we currently have rather than wishing for more which could lead us to doing things we would regret. We need learn and accept that life is all about appreciating the small things!

You can acquire some valuable things from the fantastic film. Despite being a brief video, it leaves a lasting impression on the audience. This brief video taught me to be grateful for what I have, to be joyful because I am alive and breathing, and to not be a slave to things that can ruin my life since I will regret what I did later.

After watching the film, I feel so sad for the parents who work so hard 😢😢 and I've noticed that nowadays, people often prioritize what they want over what they really need. Like they focus more on desires like new gadgets or trendy clothes instead of essential things like stable home and education.

GAGIII!!!! Ang ganda ng storyline, additional points pa sa cenematography. Ala ako ibang masabi kundi 'WOW!. This short film really shows reality, hindi ba? Some of us undeniably feel this kind of feeling wherein we deemed ourselves no longer belong to a group because they have things that we don't have and I'm talking about luxury and estitiks. However, we must always instill in our mind to learn to appreciate the things that we have and shouldn't compromise the effort and sacrifices of our parents. Remember, wala sila nalibang ug kwarta. All material things don't stay forever, but the love of your parents will remain until we get old. Kudos to all of the casts and behind the scenes people who made this short film.

CLAIRE ANNE A. MAHINAY #26 GE 1 | 11041 Understanding the Self This film excellently encapsulated a person's material self and the consequences that comes with indulging on material possessions. It bluntly showed how some of us are easily influenced by our greed and our wants rather than our needs. From the plot, to the characters, to the clever use of background music, and cinematography, overall this was a very awe-inspiring film!
