When snap on guy first started his route here, he went into a shop and saw a cornwell catalog. He said I will give you a snap on hat for that catalog, so the guy swapped him. Well the tech told cornwell dealer, needless to say the Cornwell dealer gave everyone in the shop a catalog. Heard the snap on guy gave away a lot of free hats next trip in.

Michael is such an awesome dude and he understands human nature to the T. Great inventory management. If there’s the equivalent of a 5 tool player in the tool industry, Michael’s it. And that extends to the Mrs. They are clearly a team.

Mrs. Matco Michael frequently has a Mona Lisa-like smile. Her facial expressions (and when she has a big smile) have such a warmth to them that it draws you in. She seems like a sweet, wonderful person. They're a great couple! Good, honest people deserve our business. If you only care about price, you need to look a little deeper at how your money flows through a business. Support good businesses that have good people!

That cart deal is basically what I got from school for the diesel program

Room for all the tool trucks out there, everyone needs to make a living and mechanics need tools! Snap on don't make the best of everything, nor does Mac, Matco etc Buy the tool you need from whatever truck because every tool is different. The tool dealer is happy, your happy it's a win win for everyone involved.

Micheal seems like a great dealer for a mechanic who is young and starting out. Not that any tool dealers want to take advantage but I feel like Micheal genuinely cares and wants the new guys to succeed and will do anything he can to help them. Especially on the financial side of tool truck tools.

At my school. Our snap-on rep has a whole presentation bashing matco and other tool brands. That turned me off so much I started buying Matco only. I'm glad I did though cause I love their tools.

Yeah, lots of schools out there are paid by Snap On and given Snap On tools to advertise them. I've used some matco tools, I like their locking flex head ratchets.

My Matco dealer is awesome but my problem with Matco is majority of their tools are made in Taiwan and their prices are almost the same as Snap-On.

I bought my first Snap-On product not long ago after nearly 22 years of adulthood doing just fine without them or any other tool truck brand. It wasn't particularly impressive. I'm not hooked.

@@dchawk81 in case you didn't realize this channel is literally about tool truck tools. Are you a professional mechanic? If not than you probably do not need tools designed for professionals. When you're working flat rate it's all about speed.

@@mmholling87 You're right. I'm not a professional mechanic. I have a semi to work on but it's mine and the only one. And my own pickup and my own car. But that's it. I value my time and have good tools, I just didn't have to get them from a truck. Does Europe even have tool trucks? They have a lot of professional mechanics as well. Not to mention Asian countries like Japan and China. And the African continent, South America, etc. They probably don't have to bust ass at flat rate though. Then again maybe they do. *shrug*

The $30 cart Michael offers is a really good deal, very viable. The concept is able to be tailored easily. For a beginning tech, I would consider putting the technician either in a smaller cart or even a used cart. The reason being is it could potentially allow the technician to get all three locking flex head ratchets, sockets, basic screwdrivers, prybars, metric wrenches, brake press, pliers, small oil filter sockets and oil filter wrench. The entry level matco code reader that resets lights, electronic parking brakes, brake pad sensors and steering angle sensors. What I list here would likely be enough to get a technician through the first year of life in a shop and, grow. Michael has done a great job here!!!

Always had the best service with MATCO - really like them along with Snapon and MAC.

Why or Who would hate this Channel? There is absolutely nothing to hate about what happens in Clay's World with Special Guests. From our seats we get to see for free in "Clay's World with Specials Guests serious tool talk with demonstrations on certain products, pick on someones day, we also get to see and hear jokes and humor and best of all we get to see Clay with Special Guests get behind and support those special people that have had or is still struggling with those nasty illnesses that no one should ever have to fight through." It"s freaking hard stepping up for someone else's mess. You have to work twice as hard. Best wishes to these guys. Yesterday I bought my first 0 degree ratchet wrenches. Only reason giving the brand a chance is because of this bloke and his lovely lady.

After 30 years of buying tools I can say I’m done. Tool buying can be a addiction. I have well more then enough tools to work with. Now it’s time to buy big boy toys! Time to reward myself for all the hard work.

We have the big 3 come to our shop. I only buy from Matco and Snap On now. I use to buy mostly Mac because the last shop I worked at had a terrible Snap on dealer and no Matco. When we did have a Matco dealer he would quit after a couple of months. Fast forward to today. I have a Mac box with slide problems. Our Mac dealer will not warranty the slides. I started buying Snap On and Matco. Won't even step on the Mac truck now. If I have a Mac tool that needs warranty, I get a fellow coworker to take it out to him to warranty it. We have a great Snap On dealer and Matco dealer. Like you said Clay, the tool is only as good as your dealer. Love your videos

@@charlesabbott5563 surprisingly to be as big and heavy as it is, the Snapon 3 bay rolls and moves pretty good, stopping in the other hand is a bit tricky!

Clay I agree with Michael if you hit that thumbs down you should have to give a reason why, it’s not right to bash something or someone and not give a reason. It’s a shame that it’s not set up that way to disallow the thumbs down without a reason. Keep up the great videos really enjoy the 4 different trucks.

Oh they are just closet fans. They watch every video but hit the thumbs down cause they wanna hate. Nothing you can do about it. Some people are just jealous that’s why they talk about people all the time. Just the way the world works and the childish society we live in now.

I’m blessed to have 3 great dealers. Snap on, Mac, and Matco. In that order Monday to Wednesday. I’ve needed special pliers in the middle of a job and called my Matco guy on a day that wasn’t his turn and showed up in 25 mins. My mad guy asked techs at other shops how they liked a brake bleeder I bought and if they had any issues. They all said it was fine and no issues and even said the brake lines may have been clogged to bleed the brakes old school then with the machine and should help. That was a big help considering I am a new tech. Work at an independent shop. Going on 2 years and never had used a vacuum bleeder🙄 snap on guy is just a great funny guy easy going and great service. Wrenches are wrenches I used to think until I bought my 6-24 mm flank drive extra combo wrench set. Changed my life and am a big snap on fan when it comes to wrenches. I also like the receipts lol. Love Matco pliers and specialty tools from Mac. Usually cheaper. Just hope ppl don’t get all crazy. Everyone is entitled to their on opinion💯 GOD BLESS

Matco Michael is one heck of a guy. After the meet-N-greet Clay had, Michael hung out with us for a few hours. We all talked like we was friends that hadn't seen each other months even tho he had never met most of us.

The Snap On and Matco dealers were enemies in my neck of the woods. They both did nothing but trash each other and each others tools.

The one thing I really like is honesty both in a dealer and in a customer. When I had my first shop I had a Snap-on dealer and I had one apprentice I used to let him go get what he wanted and then I would go out. One day when the dealer showed up my man said we should both go I could keep the dealer busy while he lifted some tools I said no I would go first. I told my dealer what he said so he could keep an eye on him. My man came back in with no tools. At the end of the day I gave him his pay and told him he was fired. He said how come I said if you will steal from the Snap-on dealer you will steal from me I don`t need that. Wish Michael and his wife all the best. Its a pleasure to see your videos on them.

I wish my matco dealers truck was like the rest I see like Michael! My dealer is great but doesn’t have a lot of the things I see on michaels I have to find whatever I want in flyers or online and have him order them. He’s big into Milwaukee stuff. It would be nice to have the opportunity to have the options in tools like you have in front of you every week

I’m a retired tech that only uses Matco hand tools, I still buy them today instead of Lowe’s or harbor freight. But since I found matco Michael at Koon truck I’ve gotten my time back on the tool truck shooting the breeze! Thank you !

Our Mac and Matco dealer are a dead end deal. Wish I had a dealer like Michael. I will never buy a tool from the other guys until we get a new dealer.

I do agree it is expensive to buy any tool truck tool brand but it’s the fact that most of these tools are build stronger and better. I don’t baby my tools but I don’t beat the snot out of them either. I clean my tools at the end of the day and I always use the right tool for the job. A lot of people will say “but if you take care of it it’ll last” I mean duh but I’ll spend the money on a Matco ratchet, take care of it, and it’ll easily last twice if not three times as long as a “lesser made” I can respect the prices because it’s a tool to help me make my money and do my job better, faster and smarter.

Matco Michael is famous. I love the videos and the tools. There is a route opening in my area that I’m thinking about taking. I even texted Michael to see if he would do it all over again. It’s a big leap. But Michael says I won’t regret it.... I’ll have to decide....

About different franchise dealers, yep. My Matco guy and Snap on guys give each other crap but get along and are good buddies.

I always get excited for the tool truck day. We get both snap-on and mac on the same day..snap-on comes around 10am and mac around 3:30-4pm. The mac dealer is so much of a nicer and interactive guy that always does his best to help. In short I wait till 4pm to buy tools just for the better service even if it cost a little more.

At my shop, we only have one truck every other week, due to being in a VERY rural area, our snap on guy is the best Snap on rep I’ve worked with. He always works with me to help build my tool collection and always has a positive attitude even if all I do is make a payment.

Im always welding off of it here and there....but we have a couple lifts and just walk under it.... its a caddy now

I don't buy matco tools anymore because i don't have a good dealer, plain and simple. I've always had a good Snap on dealer and the mac dealer was always spotty. Why i buy tools off the truck is because of the service that they provide. I bought more tools off of promotions of the guys bringing in some show and tell vs going out to the truck. And over the years i have upgrade tools and get tools for home use so i have less to bring back and forth to work. I also have a good relationship with my dealer, if i'm not there i've told him to run my weekly payment, if hes not there go ahead and run it. This is for a dealer who shows up weekly, for a dealer that shows up once every 3 months or what ever they are going to get paid when the show up. I 100% agree with Michael on this entire video.

Keep waiting to see Matco Michael show up with those pair of white with blue trim Revel Xs.

All the trucks are good, all the warranties are amazing. I’ve never disliked one tool from any tool truck.😊

Oh I’ve bought tools off the tool truck that weren’t as good as advertised no doubt. You just have to do your homework

I've had tool,dealers that were good some were not so fun to deal with the Sad thing is that some people deny themselves great stuff and service due to one guy now what ticks off a lot of truck owners if someone spends a hour on the truck and just makes his weekly payment and don't buy anything or they don't make much from a shop. To began with they stop showing up a lot guys don't realize that there a business

Im going to have to talk with my matco dealer and see what we can do because I need a tool cart and a creeper, don't have a tool cartand have went through 2 creepers in on month.

Love the longer videos ! But let’s see some tools next time. A 40 minute video of cool tools would be sweet !

I had an incident with a snap on dealer like you told me you can warrantee that and get a hold of snap on yourself since I did not buy it off his truck so now I only buy Mac
