Since Tom Aspinall has just been matched up against Curtis Blaydes for UFC Manchester, I thought i'd match him up against every UFC heavyweight in the top 10. The only exceptions are fighters he's already beaten, excluding Volkov because there is a potential rematch cooking there.

Heavy weight is the least skilled and impressive division. Tom Aspinall probably stuffs every heavy weight outside of the top 5 in 2 minutes (each of course)

The only thing I would critique… Tom has this legend of his grappling… we have literally never seen him dominantly grapple. His dad is his juejitsu coach. Other fighters like blaydes, almeida, jones have much higher level grappling coaches and partners. Just cause aspinall can out wrest fat cans does not insure he can do it at the highest level. We just saw almeida vs blaydes for example

I love the fact everyone is counting out Stipe. It means you and I can win big betting on Stipe, and it means Jones’s attempts to improve his legacy backfired twice, once by making the world think he’s a ducking coward, and second by losing to an old retiree who got flatlined by the other guy Jones ducked. People forget that Blaydes knocked out Tom due to a checked kick. He was rolling around on the floor and crying. Tom is so focused on Jones that he's forgetting he has a killer in front of him. I think Blaydes will knock him out again.

That occurred because Tom had a knee issue since he was a young child. It was weak and hurt. That checked kick did the final blow to fully break it. Which isn’t fully attested to Blaydes. Now? The knee as stated is better than ever. That is not an issue for Tom anymore

@@sandman62100 no you’re showing innate bias. A knockout is hitting them, and knocking them flat on their ass. A check occurred and it caused a non correlated injury to get worse. To use that to argue Blaydes can do anything against Tom is fallacious as all hell. His knee isn’t weak anymore, that check would not occur the same way.
