Very useful video. Things were made easier to do by the time my 1950 model was made. Certainly worthwhile getting the later style seal though.

Glad you enjoyed it - I’ll keep adding to the channel as I do more jobs. Sometimes recording the things that go wrong can be just as useful as things that go smoothly. Next big one for me (I hope) is decarbonising as I get to the 3000 mile point since last rebuild

To anyone rebuilding G3 or G3L. Ex army bikes, fit the oiltank complete before uniting the front and rear frame sections, cos you can t fit the tank with the frame assembled.

Good luck finding a new case! Can you do front wheel removal vid mate?

I’ll certainly video the job next time I take the front wheel off. Not a difficult job though - much easier than the rear!
