YEah, I didn't expect that, those Lamborghini's have been doing very well on the track. But these transistional wheels can get you into alot of trouble once the car starts weaving.. No problem, we will race again.... its fun :)

Yes its a very very cool car , i knew you would like it. Still have to do the finals.. There are a few cars that I worry about when racing, and this is one of them... pretty expensive one when in nice shape.

The best vintage racing on KZread, excellent brother. That GT40 the way it came out of the loop it's going to be a contender. This was a proper way to end my evening, so get old solid racing, thank you brother.

well thanks, there are a few great vintage racing channels and a few channels are putting up vintage races now, cause they also see its pretty fun. So alot of trade offs and sharing, as I am buying lots of newer stuff and having a blast too.. now, You had the absolute best white Mercedes convertible, but she came up short to the Ferrari. That GT 40 appears to be very strong exiting the loop.

LOL , it was a perfect matchup between custom restorers and you had him , until you got dizzy in the loop and he got on the gas. The matchbox set is one of my favs.

Yes, this set truly is amazing , I had wanted it ever since playing on my neighbours set as a kid. I used to take my hot wheels over and race his matchboxes which were like these ones. I remember how well this tracked worked and when i saw one come up, I pounced on it. It has a good launcher , decent loops and a cool finish gate. The Lamborghini , is a really really nice car and i am happy to have stumbled onto it It put on a good run, and I think it should have beat the lotus lol.

Gee, they all did well handling the loop! The track in great condition! Cheers, enjoyed!

exactly, and these are the first response from Matchbox, these cars with transitional wheels didn't stick around long. They really were caught out when hot wheels took over the market.

Matchbox Motorway is another very fun way to enjoy Matchboxes! You can turn any regulat wheel, transitional or Superfast into a slot cat by adding a pin to the car! You use controllers just like Tyco, Aurora, etc. Cars. Lots of fun! I have 1 or 2 original sets! And I'm 60 years old!😊🤣

Hi Brian, I am 60 also named Brian and... I have that motorway set. Unfortuneately I have to get the springs for it , which at this time are cost prohibitive to ship. Yes I like those 910s and have more with the wider wheels. They go very well but don't seem to like the loop as much as other cars.

@@gnrvintagediecastracing7978 have you ever found any Matchbox Tracks that are wider to fit some of the fat old ones? I've looked on ebay, craigslist, Swapmeet and never seen any.

The second race the white Mercedes 'vert was behind heading into the loop...pulling hard out of the loop to get the win! It's a great format that can give many slower straight drag castings a chance to shine.

Yes you can see that more clearly in my fuzzy slow motions, some still manage to carry on and win, what I have noticed is that these cars have more trouble on hot wheels track then on this track

I had that Opel and the Miura as a much younger person......oh, and subbed.

Thank you, this track was a favorite of mine as a kid. I was happy to find one again. The drivers are all followers of my channel and i follow their channels. I will be holdin new races come november/december...

these are all original wheels. First run transistionals just before matchbox made the superfast wheels and just after the black thick axle wheels. They rushed these new wheels out just after hot wheels released their cars as the new kid on the block.

@@Freewheal Yes, the wider superfast wheel run in a separate class. I was always fascinated by the skinniy wheeled ones as a kid. We raced them on this very style of matchbox track. I have another matchbox track that i will bring out to run the Wider Wheeled Matchboxes on. Thank you for your comments, glad to find another vintage matchbox racer.

I have ALOT of well used ones too. I bought a matchbox collection from a single original owner who’s mom would not let him play with cars. He kept them for over 50 years and showed me the one he snuck out and played with and it was a husky lol. So I got about 20 really nice ones but it was not cheap
