Well done Paul! Absolutely brilliant management in what is not an easy job but he's done it and we will always remember him for this! I owe him an apology, I criticized him earlier this season, I stated that I didn't think I it was gonna happen under his watch, I was wrong. I'm glad I was, he is cemented in Derby County history and fully deserves all the plaudits.

For those old enough to remember, Arthur Cox took two seasons to get us out of the 3rd tier and then won the 2nd tier at the first attempt. Times have changed, and it’s a big ask to compete with parachute payments, but there is a solid foundation here and I am sure that Warne and the recruitment team have a clear view on what we need to be competitive in the Championship.

Unfortunately old enough. Cox made two astute signings with Wright and Shilton in 1987. Same with Jim Smith in 1996 with Laursen and Asa and Igor in '95. Just need our recruitment team to get their targets early. Cannot wait until end of August as we usually do.

Always knew Paul was the man for the job when we appointed him! From 4 players to promotion in 2 seasons, not bad at all that!!

I was worried about the way we were playing at times but we have built up to the end of the season improving and it's a relief to see us over the line and have a some time to reflect

Fantastic stuff. Bit nervy after the first goal but Carlisle didn't have the quality to capitalise and we killed the game with the 2nd goal. Also, nice to get back to the Championship faster than teams like Forest, Leeds, Sunderland and Ipswich when they dropped down. Will be an interesting summer to see what's available as the squad will need strengthening in areas.

Haven't they just! One or two I see, including the old coffin dodger that has risen again, but mostly they know they were being ridiculous. Warne is a proven winner at this level. We wouldn't have gone up without him.
