    Poopy Butt the benefits in crossfit is improved grip strength (from holding on while your body weight kips) and faster time which is why are made in the first place. If you’re trying to get strong yeah you’d do strict pull-ups but this is a met con for cardio if it weren’t a comp

I see you don't have enough respect for yourself to use capitals in your name but please do so when referring to something as honorable as the SEALS or admit you love ISIS and hate America. Like you said he's the shortest male so he's little. He likes to scream and swear to try and make himself seem big, like all short men do, so calling him a bitch is justified. And he's been caught cheating many times he's a loser. As for my life I have nothing to prove to an America hating, socialist like you.

    If you watch the judges lips, and listen closely around 8:22 you can see she counts ten reps and after josh jumps down, she then starts at 12 instead of 11. This far into the workout you can't expect bridges to be counting, this is all on the judge not him, and since he got 2nd place by more than one rep I don't see it being an issue but good catch though. definitely made me go and check

    There are a lot of things I admire about Crossfit. There's competition, athleticism, intensity, sense of community, etc.. But I'll ALWAYS think kipping pullups are bullshit. Just like I hate a supposed "handstand" pushup where someone lowers their knees down and kicks their legs back up for pushing momentum. The sacrificing of strict form for volume and speed is Crossfit's main flaw IMO. It's why you hear about so many injuries.

  • @seanclarke6733

    @seanclarke6733

    4 жыл бұрын

    You don’t actually hear about that many injuries.... CrossFit has actually sued company’s for wrongfully spreading stats that aren’t true to boost their own product. The purpose of kipping is for speed and I guess a good show, the games would be boring if we had to watch them shake out every rep after doing a quick set of 10. Same with handstands. I get your opinion but seriously the closest to injury I’ve seen is a bloody hand.

    Someone tell me this. Why not change the standards of the "chest to bar" so that they have to do strict movements. It would still be a race and a competition but they would just have to lower the reps. And it seems like it would way better for competitors joints, tbh those chest to bars look dangerous

  • @RxActionAgency

    @RxActionAgency

    6 жыл бұрын

    ProneToInfection changing it to that standard will defeat the purpose of the workout. If they change it to that...the athletes will likely run into muscular fatigue before feeling the conditioning that is intended. The athletes are performing the movements safety here. However every sport poses its own unique risks. Chest to bar pull-ups as shown are most likely less dangerous than a game of football, soccer, basketball, and many other sports.

  • @ProneToInfection

    @ProneToInfection

    You could add something else in order to make the workout more tiring. There's plenty of crossfit workouts. When I mean dangerous, I mean dangerous on the persons joints. Look at the way Matt slams all his weight into his joints with each pull up. Btw I am a fan of crossfit, I'm just trying to offer a better alternative

    Then sprinters should walk, skateboarders should wear full body armor, American football should switch from tackling to touch, etc etc Again, CORRECTIVE exercise allows their joints to be safe. Do you think they dont do horizontal pulling and controlled pressing? Of course they do. Kipping as a standalone in training is ridiculous, they do corrective exercise.

You can do pull ups and still enjoy watching them, it doesn't have to be slow and strict if that is what you are referring to. I still enjoy watching many other CrossFit exercises.
