Thank you my friend! Always good to see people with good taste, but there is too much i want to add to this wall. In time, i will have a vinyl collection that i can rotate to keep it fresh too :)

Brann is killing it this whole song!!

I'm going to say the theme of this album is literally on the cover, it's a tree and branching out. The song "The Beast" is dangerously close to a country song, you've got this song and Teardrinker which are kind of funky. Dagger, with it's tribal sounds and Gobblers of Dregs which is something else.

Perhaps, sounds very plausible, but i'm not sure where 'hushed and grim' would fit into that? And most Masto albums are pretty much 'brancing out' in many ways. Be interesting to hear the band talk about it. Thanks for watching!

@@defmetalmusic1599 the album is a tribute to their longtime manager and friend nick John who passed away a few years ago, his face is the one in the tree and much of the albums lyrics are about him or inspired by him. That’s definitely where the albums title comes from and a lot of the themes on the album.

I feel like Mastodon fans would like this song more if it wasn’t a single lol. I think it’s going to age amongst the best tracks from the album
