Mastertronic Commodore 64 Loading Screens Volume 1

Ойын-сауық

We're huge fans of the 1980s video games publisher Mastertronic. As well as running our website, we'll be bringing you regular game reviews and other content connected to them. For those of you who loved all their releases for the Commodore 64, here's the first in hopefully a regular series looking at some of the more memorable loading screens from some of their great games from their various ranges. Want to see more? Like, comment and share the video and we'll get working on the next!
Statistics featured in the video have been provided by Anthony Guter, Mastertronic's former Financial Controller. Sales figures have been rounded to the nearest thousand and are just from the Commdore 64 version of the games.
The music featured in the video is the main theme from "Phantoms Of The Asteroid" on the Commodore 64, composed by Rob Hubbard and has been licensed for use from www.c64audio.com
The end theme is "Quantum Knights Theme" and is composed by Chris Huelsbeck and is used with permission. To support Chris and his music, visit his Patreon at: / chris_huelsbeck

Glad you enjoyed it. It was a tough call over what Hubbard track we were going to use for this one, although we have a few ideas for next time, possibly Master Of Magic or Shockway Rider as I love both of those but there are plenty of great ones he did for Mastertronic! - Simon

Wasn’t Bruce Lee a Data East game which was re-released by Mastertronic?

We aimed to cover all of Mastertronic's ranges in this and our future loading screen videos, which is why you'll see games included from the Americana, Ricochet, Rack-It and Rebound labels alongside the core Mastertronic lines. There are loads of great games out there on all the 8-bit and 16-bit systems and we want to showcase as many as we can. We're working on the next three right now - the second C64 collection, and one each for the Spectrum and Amstrad. - Simon

Glad you enjoyed it. If you've got any favourite C64 loading screens or soundtracks let us know and we'll try to feature them in future videos. We're working on something new for our Mastertronic Twitter and Facebook pages as well along with more updates for the website so plenty of new content most days! - Simon
