Great review! Thank you! The lack of vac-metal goggles bugged me, too, so I ended up putting some chrome-foil stickers on the lenses, and they look much better. As for the hole in the back of his armour, I just took the vintage spare "red dot" from Stinkor's armour and plugged it into Mek's back. Question: Did anyone else think Mekaneck's club doubled as a telescope when you were a kid?

I also totally agree with Dan about this being one of the best most accurate updates of a classic figure, and I do believe that purple/violet/plum is Dan's color. He makes me almost want to buy one of his t-shirts as he models his exclusive tee in this video... almost :)

LOL, I like the way P-D, doesn't hold back on posing these guys! On this review, particularly, it really made me chuckle when Dan kept rotating the figure's head on its "super neck" mode. I'm still chuckling about it as I post this.

Awesome figure, awesome review. I can live with the 'misaligned' helmet as I can envisage the goggles being 'wired' directly into his eyes in a similar way to Tri-Klops, so it doesn't have to line up exactly. Really wish the goggle lenses had been painted a different colour though...

Another great review! We finally have Mekaneck! :) This is one of my favorite characters and I think he turned out great! The visor looks fine to me. As someone else said, I also envisioned the visor as wired into his eyes like Tri-Klops so the placement does not bother me at all and it looks great to me anyways. Some fantatastic figures coming out this month and next month. I'm glad there are no Voltron Lions coming out this month out so my wallet can have some relief.

I have the 200X version of him and Tri-Kolps. Also I might get 3 of the MOTUC Mekaneck figure to keep the neck extension going.

I've been waiting a looooong time for this figure. I had just about every toy from the eighties but have since lost or discarded all of them...except for this guy and Ram Man....ironic that Mattel has chosen to make me wait that long for those two!

I find this argument funny every time. Have you noticed that all the ankles have been fixed and the latest 6 or 7 figures have now come with super tight joints? It's a new piece, kind of akin to He-mans hair which was glued on at various angles on the figures. And like he says it's hardly noticeable except from certain angles.

What no comments on his for arms? Didn't the original use He-Man's arms while this one is using Tri-Klops?

I'm still a bit disappointed that his visor has no clear screen with sculpted eye visible through...would have been a prefect detail addition. Sigh...budget cutbacks showing 4HM. Still a great figure.

They said that you are not allowed to change your subscription info on line. I don't know if someone actively went in & changed it, but I assume they did because when I went and checked, it was back to the old account & doesn't matter if you believe me or not; it happened. & you can't just empty your accounts or tell them not to allow purchases on a card that you are actively using. That means I have to cancel the card, which is what you just told that guy that he didn't have to do...

I would FAR rather have to twist his waist than have to plug and unplug a couple sections of neck. And forget about what i said about Super 7 being a good new home for MOTUC. They have completely sucked at *every* possible corner they could. Super 7 can burn. The only changes they'll make is screwing everything up worse than Matty did.

Mekaneck is another Figure I wish they did a Combination of both Era's as One then just One over the Other Now most of the Body I have no Issue but I think the Green goggle's just kinda worked better as well goggle's more so then the Silver that don't really look like goggles at all or even that he can see through them that well also I think a Darker Blue would've worked better too I don't know why but the bright blue on him just look off putting to me & not in a good way

Yeah tried that. They still used my old number. They put it back in... twice, & then blocked me from being able to change my card number on the subscription. Had to file a fraud report and everything. I ended up with 2 free figures out of the mess, but still can't cancel the sub...

There are several people on here that just can't accept people's opinions. I would swear they own stock in the company, or they work for them or something. If we make one comment about not liking a figure or an error that was made, they go berserk!!!

Yeah you can. Delete your old card or change the info on the one there. It's easy. I did this with no problems. If you want them to not take any money, write in a random number, you'll get an account mistake and they will close your sub just fine.

I don't understand why people can't accept that everyone is different & has different experiences in life? What worked for you may not work for the next person. They gave me 2 free figures for my troubles, doesn't mean they'll do that for the next person. Just like you found a way to cancel your account, which only works if you've only used one credit card/atm card on their site. Bank also said that once you use a card with a merchant, they can re-use unless cancelled...

I would FAR rather twist his waist to raise his neck (which you seemed to think was a hassle?) than having to connect seperate lengths to extend his neck. more parts to lose- and considering they got Roboto's gears turning, it would have been easy. I also take back my statement that the move to S7 is a good thing. they're already totally frippin' everything up: Months late on Ultimates, no more chance to buy Ultimates, higher prices, forcing fans to buy 4 figures at once even if they only want 1, 2 or maybe 3, AND they went back on their word of packaging that allows the figures to be removed and replaced without damaging the card or bubble. If they make MOTU as cruddy, sloppy, poorly painted and just junk like their "ReAction" line and keep it all online only, they'll ruin it for everyone.

It's not that the action feature couldn't have been easily done or that it's a hassle, but rather that it would severely limit the posability of the figure. Not only does it look stupid IMHO) to have to keep the legs turned in order to have the neck extended, doing it with removable pieces also allows the extended head to still be on a ball joint and thus posable and retaining the removable/interchangeable head feature.

Again someone has to say it. Where is the QC Mattel? I swear every month it's something else. I've been waiting for this one for a long time. Really disapointing about the helmet. I'm so glad I didn't sub next year, I am sooo over this line.

They even sent out an e-mail telling everyone that you have to call in order to change your subscription card number & that it cannot be changed any other way & if there are no funds they will use the old card on file. So what is there not to believe? They aren't perfect. It is hysterical though that you actually think I would take time to make up a story to some guy that I don't even know. I guess now you'll start cursing me out too...

+MakillaGorilla3 actually...a headbutt from Mekaneck is lethal, in 3 stages step 1: the blow - you receive the heatbutt in the chest, you feel pain step 2: the stab - you feel Mekaneck's head stretching at full speed trough your body, the pain is uncontainable step 3: the pierce - Mekaneck's head manages to go trough your body, leaving a hole only some months of health care would cure in most of my playtimes with friends, I played Mr. Giraffe, and trust me no Horde Trooper endured one of Mek's headbutts....and lived to tell

& figures are still being sent with loose joints...

They won't allow you to change your card unless you call them, & if the new card doesn't work, they just go & use the old card without even asking. That's what happened to me. I changed cards, & the new one expired, so they used my old one causing my account to be over-drawn...

The line is geared towards collectors & wouldn't do well in the stores. If they were in the stores, they would cost a lot more & no one but the rich collectors, trust fund babies, & guys living in their moms basements would be able to buy them. As it is they break your pocket when they release more than one figure a month. Would prefer if they only did one item a month, but they sell them to make money, so I understand why they release so many...

you find the argument funny? We are paying over $30 a figure. I don't think it is unreasonable to want certain parts of a figure to fit properly. Also the last 6 or 7 figures have not come with super tight joints for me. When you are paying more than you are for any other action figure I think you can expect QC to be better. This line doesn't get a free pass because it's He-Man.

I've always loved Melaneck (name sounds Canadian 😊), his color scheme has always looked fantastic and still does with this Classics Version- something about it works so well (note: some US re-releases have a darker blue suit and very rigid hands that look as if painted with nail polish- the "flesh-tone" hand-paint can chip if you don't take an extra second to carefully put his club in his hand). This is a beautiful figure. I doubt I would've noticed his goggles (how could those cheapskate Matty Collector knobs skip his classic mirror goggles and STILL charge 1. Subscription fee, 2. On top charging $25-35+? I'm glad Matty quit and turned it all over to Super 7.

no matter how ridiculous some masters of the universe characters get, mekaneck has always been the most disturbing and unrealistic for me. since he's only tech-modified, he must have a robot brain, no organic eyes/ears to cope with the extreme pressure change and distance of blood from the heart, and according to the 200x cartoon - have infinite self-replicating material for his neck as it rises infinitely.

I was gonna ask you the same question. Look if you can't take insults, then you shouldn't insult people. Next time someone gives you a polite response & tries to answer your question for you, you say thank you, not call the person a tool. You act like an ignorant child, you get treated like an ignorant child...

Why are so many Collectors assholes? Anytime someone expresses their own opinion or talk about a bad experience they had, there has to be 5 or 6 Idiot Boxes that have to attack them. Like it's such a disruption of their lives if someone doesn't agree with them. Now just to prove me right, at least one is going to say something negative about my comment & act like a 12 year old that just learned foul language & curse me out...

EVERY fandom seems to be like that, these days. You can't even express a bland, mild, middle-of-the-road opinion any more, because you get it in the neck from BOTH sides.

Trying to apply logic to a series that has magic, animal men, & giant talking green tigers. In real life none of these characters in comic books could exist. The Hulk would have been blown up & the Fantastic 4 & Spider-Man dead from radiation poisoning.

You don't have to get the figures you know, if you're unhappy with the product you should vote with your wallet. Truth of the matter is, and why I find your argument funny is that it's the same old regurgitated argument, when the facts are that quality control has gone up, of course all of them won't be perfect but you're asking too much for a side product that started as a test idea. What you want is the perfect product because YOU feel the price is too high. QC has gone up that's a fact.

And QC has gone up, show me one single figure with faulty ankles the last year please - it's not an opinion it is fact, that people complain over the smallest things is one thing, that it completely ruins a figure is something else. In any other line small things like that are easily overlooked. Now you're mixing DR into this which just shows how weak your argument is. And good, one less cry baby to listen to.
