One of my favorite figures of the vintage line

This is the last of the vintage figures. It would be cool to see them all together in one video, maybe even a giant-sized comparison time.

+rodan56 Great idea.

For those with Vintage zip-cords (Road-Ripper, Orko , and Dragstor), I've discovered if you lost the cord, the right size Zip-Tie can work! You may need to try a few different sizes/lengths (they can also be trimmed with an x-acto or sharp scissors). So far I haven't found *exact* matches, but some work 70-85% (functional!) to get your Ripper back on the Road, Rippin'!

I think they dropped the ball on an idea for a 'new' horde figure - The gripping tree from the original 'Fright Zone' playset. It was a little taller than a He Man action figure, and would have been an awesome additional Horde figure.

Despite no action feature, it's a pretty good figure. I love the colours

Great review! Thank you! Go ahead and add my name to the "Disappointed there isn't a rolling wheel" crew. I got a couple extras of this guy to see if I could Frankenstein up one with a working wheel, but it's not the end of my world if I can't.

What I loved about that crossbow is that there is a hole in Dragstor's backpack. The crossbow handle will fit inside of it and it looks like the engine on his back is suped up

I just learned this Dragstor doesn’t have the action feature and had to come here to confirm! This is insane! How could they NOT include it? Yet they left the slot for the ripcord. In my opinion, of you don’t use the wheel action feature, there’s no need to leave the ripcord slot. Still a great looking figure though!

I thought that MATTEL said they were done with this wonderful toyline a year ago??

Another great review. I'm more OK with the non functioning wheel than I thought I would be. The sculpt is great and he still looks good in the "Dragstor pose." Thanks for that shot of all the Evil Horde at the end. A lot of my figures are stored away until I can find room to display them. It is so nice o see this faction complete :)

OMG he's adorable

When I first took him out of the mailer I had the exact same thoughts about the zip cord and the wheel.

I really like how he turned out, but yeah, a free-spinning wheel would have made him a little more interesting. His chest joint doesn't even work, due to the armor, so adding in the spinning wheel wouldn't have changed anything, articulation wise. Then again, I'm assuming we didn't get the spinning wheel due to how he was costed out VS other figures, so that makes sense. No telling what other figure would have had to lose something for Dragstor to get the wheel to move.

+Alexx1083 It is a good point about how much the wheel would have costed out. I do think that if the wheel were able to spin it would have not only eliminated the ab crunch, but also the waist pivot and possibly the thighs. The wheel is low enough so it would sit right where the leg pins peg into the waist piece. It would have been nice to have a spinning wheel just for the novelty of it, but I'd rather it be able to have posable legs.

7:13 it kinda looks like you can plug that crossbow into his back..it would look like a supercharger while he is stowing it in drive mode

Dragster was my Mosquitor, had him Asa kid and loved him.

Great looking figure. I do wish they had incorporated the action feature but overall it turned out very well.

Looks a nice figure. Only problem I have is that they didn't color his torso properly. Not sure how they managed to miss that! Looks so much better in blue how he should be. Shame when they get so close to making a perfect figure then fumble the ball on an obvious detail.

Was there ever a Multi-bot episode?

I got this one back in the day. By that time I had started to better understand English (still not quite fluent though) and when I read the mini-comic, the tragic story of the character resonated with me, adding some more appeal to the figure for me. It's a shame that the wheel can't move as Dan points out, the only downside I see.

I noticed the Horde sticker was missing from both my Dragstor figures but other than that good job 4 Horsemen.

Hey, after me whining and complaining about getting the Dragstor review, the least thing I can do is say a nice 'thank you very much for this awesome review' and a happy holiday for one of my favourite collector and generally anyone who reads this. I won't even mention this other greenface/orangeface guy which is...anyway, happy holiday... oh I already said so...

Surprised you didn't mention his body is the wrong color and that the crossbow attaches to his back.

You didn't even need that zip line string that came with the OG toy nor in with this one either.

How much are these figures usually? Also are they in stores at all or just MattyCollector and comic con exclusives?

+The Lone Bricker Yeah, the sub for MOTU in the Filmation likeness (and I believe there was another sub too, for characters that hadn't a vintage toy).

If Mosquitor had a crossbow his would be purple with a mosquito head.

No spinning wheel? No actions is the major problem with this line. So unfortunate for such a beautiful line.

It would be cool to pought him on snake mounton be cause he looks like a snake kind of 🐍.

I see no need for Action Features in this line, how many people still use the features on the Wind Raider or Battle Ram? Most collectors display their stuff, not use them as toys...

Sure, most collectors primarily collect for display purposes, but let's be honest, I suspect far more collections play around with their figures from time to time than will ever admit to it.

The vintage version of "DRAGSTOR" was ONE of the MANY "MOTU" action figures that I used to own back in the day and still **WOULD HAVE** if not for the idiots in my life who allowed it to go missing and all 😠😤😡 ! It was either THROWN, STOLEN, OR GIVEN AWAY ****WITHOUT MY APPROVAL, AUTHORIZATION, CONSENT, NOR PERMISSION**** and I hope that the culprit(s) is(are) SUFFERING IN HELL RIGHT NOW for messing around with ****MY**** stuff 😠😤😡 ! I take EXTREMELY GOOD CARE of ****MY**** things, btw 😠😤😡 ! I don't know WHY I always have to deal with morons who can't seem to respect personal property 😠😤😡 !
