If you aren't familiar, Chris Goss (vocals/guitar) produced three Kyuss albums, as well as Rated R by QotSA and has worked on, I believe, all of their albums. Josh and Nick toured as members of Masters of Reality in 2002 and appear on Flak'N'Flight. Also, Josh and Chris had a brief stint as The 5:15ers.

@muttonmark

@@basb6230 Yep, Goss was the producer that truly captured Kyuss' sound. Different producers for Wretch. They wouldn't let the band play keys in C minor, or let Homme run his gear through a bass amp. While the songs could have been so much more, the production of that album was garbage. Goss told the boys and the Dali Record label that he'll record them as they intend to sound. The Result? The album Blues for the Red Sun, AND a monumental movement in the music underground sent waves through the music industry. Homme and Oliveri were actually band members of MOR in the early 2000's.

Check out their song "Gimme Water" by MoR , sounds just like "My God is the Sun". Love QotSA and Josh, these guys grew up together.

Chris Goss produced Kyuss, and the first Qotsa album. He was his mentor.

The notes and scales Goss chooses certainly recall Homme! Or Homme recalls Goss.

At the end there it looks like Chris was a bit pissed & says "The monitors sounded like SHIT" to a stage hand, but it sure sounded good here! lol

"Sunrise on the Sufferbus" is prob their best album. Their first album self titled is class and "Deep in the Hole" has Josh Homme and I think Nick Olivieri on it.

Dave Catching is quite a underappreciated musician, among the public. But not among fellow musicians. Thankfully.
Lineup, please?
Gibbons younger brother?
