And I love how he has his coat collar turned up. He's like, making a subconscious Sherlock reference
I wouldn't be able to watch any other version of Sherlock Holmes after this

Did anybody notice how, under his breath, Ben murmured : "that made no sense at all" at 42:56 ? This man formulates his sentences so well, and chooses his words so carefully, yet he never gives credit to himself for doing so.. don't worry Ben, it did make sense, and we appreciate your lovely constructed sentences :) x

he did the same thing on and off throughout the whole interview. Also saying that he talked too much and bored everybody
The List of reasons why Benedict is just amazing and perfect gets longer with every Interview I watch. Since I watched Sherlock I wanted to see every Interview he's in on KZread, because he amazed me so much as an actor. After watching the Interviews he amazed me even more as a person. I can't explain how fascinated I am about how many talents this guy has. Just look at this wonderful human being: He's so talented as an actor, he really feels into the characters he plays. He's also very talented in Imitations of other actors. I love what he can do with his voice. And that voice by the way, is the best thing I've ever heard. Combined with that British accent. He's incredibly funny and humorous. He's smart and classy. The way he talks and articulates amazes me every single time. And he's a real conversationalist. I would love to just chat with him about anything. He's so charming and charismatic and thoughtful. He's so kind and so polite. I mean, in so many Interviews where the Interviewer thank him for the Interview he says „my pleasure“. So cute. Also he always defends his fans. Everytime it comes to the word „Cumberbitches“ he says how unlikely to the name his fans are. That they are great and supportive. And these are just 2 of many examples. He's such an incredibly nice and humble and down-to-earth guy, compared to other celebrities. On "Setlock" he just goes to his fans, talks to them and even sings happy birthday to one of his fans. Like how cute is this. He's just adorable. But soo manly too. Handsome and sexy. Gosh. I can't even tell how much I adore Benedict Cumberbatch. And I love this Name too btw. Ugh, Pure Perfection.

Benedict seems like a geniunely classsy guy: eloquent, humble, intelligent, and always well-dressed be it casual (like in this Q&A panel) or on talk shows. Sure, I'd imagine he may get tired of the same questions from fans - he IS human, after all - but to handle it so well when we see so much bad, bratty behavior from certain celebs is quite refreshing. And I can't help but be mesmerized by his looks and his voice! Would LOVE to meet him someday. :-)

Audience member: "...I'm a private investigator here in New York..." BC: "You WERE, you aren't now..." LOL
LOL.. My fav part is towards the end where Moffat talks about the fan reactions like, "Karen, I love you!" , "Matt, marry me!" , "Moffat, could you put your head down a bit?" ... I so lost it at that part.. Poor Moffat gets no love.. LOL
Ben flips his coat collar up, just like Sherlock! And of course they both have amazing cheekbones!
He's just so perfect, charming ,calm polite and amazing 🙈
When Ben is talking about Sherlock's drug habit, I can just imagine Steven taking mental notes: "Hmmm... Drunk Sherlock? Junkie Sherlock? Must discuss ideas for season 3 with Mark..!"

This was so awesome to watch. I love how Benedict says 'Obviously' just as much as Sherlock does.
i wish i had some smart and intelectual comment about the show and actors and writers and this entire interview, but i just can't go any further from mentioning how sweet, adorable, humourus, kind and down-to-earth is Benedict Cumberbatch. well, he just is.
Benedict's voice is unreal!! omg!

Leslie, did you tell your cousin that if Benedict had the money he would love to make the book into a movie? Sadly, I just checked IMDB and whilst in development TV, the production has stalled. No mention of casting, perhaps with Benedict on-board...?
So many things I love about this, but, THE LOOK ON BENEDICT'S FACE when she said about the Buckingham palace scene, OMG I can't even. He's like; wait what!?!! Idk how to respond to this....
Cumberbatch: a great actor destined for greatness.
You can tell when someone, especially that woman who talked about how he researched the character at the beginning, had an educated thought provoking question, that Ben just lit up. He would be smiling, and loved the psychology behind their words.
"go on air early in 2013" LOL *sobs*
Benedict is the sweetest person
Have any of you actually watched anything else Benedict has been in? I hope the bloke goes from strength to strength. Your all haters. Cause he is sexy, a great actor, and been in theater productions, genuine descent bloke who cares alot about what ppl think of him as an actor... I wish him all the best for the future...
This man is absolutely perfect.
Andrew Scott "Moriarty" was fantastic in the show. I would say equally as good or better than Sherlock. Between him and Sherlock...they make that show. Love it!
@bctopper

While I agree Cumberbatch is phenomenal, his character has a bit of a monotone in expression, while Moriarty is more expressive. They both play awesome, intelligent characters. Just my thoughts. :)

bctopper There are a lot of subtle nuances in Cumberbatch's performance, the blink-you-would-miss moments. He's definitely not monotone. It seems to be fashion to diss Cumberbatch now. You don't have to talk down one to uplift the other. Cumberbatch needs to carry the show, if he didn't deliver, I can understand your point, but he delivered it phenomenally. Sherlock is not Cumberbatch's show, but without his performance, it can't possibly be so compelling.

Tommo Winchester The phantom is everywhere. Hello.
"Stop promoting the show Benedict" Oh, don't you ever stop him of talking about his naked beauty, Moffat! He actually literally IS the most beautiful creature in this world with that husky baritone voice, a pair of azure/greenish eyes and those lean long fingers... Oh, be still my poor heart! He is peerless.
I like to think of it as said in Doctor Who: "You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful, then you actually talk to them and five minutes later they're as dull as a brick? Then there's other people and you meet them and you think, 'Not bad, they're okay.' And then you get to know them and their face just sort of becomes them. Like their personality's written all over it, and they just turn into something so beautiful." His talent, generosity and charm are what makes him gorgeous
Oh Benedict, the way that you still act surprised about the reaction from the Buckingham Palace scene is so funny, you know EVERYONE loved that scene.
i like his hair styled like that i miss khanberbatch
"If we ever went into Sherlock's backstory, I don't think the audience would buy it." wow, Steven Moffat should watch more of his own interviews.
@heathergittens3223
3 жыл бұрын
He's right. They want the audience to get to know the characters, and not give too much away. Otherwise, people will lose interest. And it gives the audience the opportunity to read the books(unless we already read the books, perhaps a refresher of the stories) for more information and do a compare/contrast such as the following: are the books better than its adaptations or vice-versa? I cannot say about Steven Moffat's other interviews because I'm not really into him. I came here for Benedict Cumberbatch and the Sherlock Holmes stories.
I'm literally crying! Ben is too beautiful for this world and we don't deserve him
Benedict is so cheeky in this! I love it (and love the adorably cheeky smile that goes with it). I love how this then leads to Steven, and then Sue also becoming cheeky. It makes a panel so much more enjoyable when they can have fun like that.
Moffat CRACKS ME UP, holy shit, i laughed every time he opened his mouth :')
can't hear clearly as a foreigner but still love Benedict even for his voice XD
I wish they'd just let BC talk on and on. I can listen to him for hours and hours. what an amazing person!

I love how when DW is mentioned, like everyone screams and I'm just like; YES THESE ARE THE CRIES OF MY FELLOW WHOLOCKIANS!!!!!!!!
Steven and Sue: ahhhh! Benedict: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love how Steven Moffat admitted that he would want to have tea w/ Irene Adler IN FRONT OF HIS WIFE! I died laughing at his comment: "It's just tea!"
He is unfailingly gracious to his fans, intelligent, funny, and seems completely down to earth. What an amazing man.
HILARIOUS that Steven talks about how we don't need back story for characters to get to know them - even says that bringing Sherlock's family story into the show would be "wrong". However, series 3 is almost ALL back story for various characters, including Sherlock. Just another Moffat-ism. Ha!
is it me or does Benedict look a bit more like his character Khan here?
"We don't want to hear about your problems!" - ...this man is so gorgeous, witty, handsome and so damn sexy ❤
I love this. I love his voice, his hands and even the turn-ups on his jeans! He is such a flirt. A beautiful man inside and out.
Martin Crief- It's a character he plays on the BBC Radio called Cabin Pressure and it's hilarious to hear this character when you have seen him play Sherlock.
I love when Ben laughs. It's adorable!
he's strangely gorgeous, but I love him because he's such an amazing actor!! look for The National Theatre's production of "Frankenstein" where he and Jonny Lee Miller switched roles every night... incredible stuff! Oh yeah and he's perfect in this new vision of Sherlock Holmes.
I must admit I laughed out loud when Benedict came on stage, the whole room went berserk!! Haha! He IS gorgeous by the way...
I wanted to hear more from Steven and Sue. :(
I love how the crowd quietens down, then Benedict comes on and they go crazy.
I am the blind fan of Benedict Cumberbatch.. Sherlock is my one of the favorite tv programs..
22:21 d'awh, benedict cumberbatch and Rdj in Infinity war, my two fav actors, coming together, they play my fav character sherlock, and my other fav characters, Dr strange and Iron man/Tony Stark. I can't wait untill i see them together on screen
Moffat's comments about Mark Gatiss are the best part of this! Not loving how eager the question askers are to promote themselves. The "I'm not a superfan"-and-"Your cheekbones are beyond words"-girl made me embarrassed. Ridiculous people. Many good questions, though. Just spare us (and the three guests) the uninteresting stories about yourselves.
The one thing that annoyed me about this is the women who turns around and says "I'm not a super fan" Does she not realise she took the spot of a person that would practically give anything they had to be there!

fun to see and hear Benedict as himself and his take on the show itself.
Wow. I've never been more proud to be part of a particular fan base. Even next to "Inside the Actor's Studio" the audience was so ingenuous, appropriate and appreciative of the whole breadth of work put into the show, NOT just Benedict Cumberbatch. But he's probably one of the most humble, unassuming, brilliant actors of late in my book! Love his sincerity during most interviews!

Benedict is just perfection. And I've always wondered why it's so thrilling when an actor swears.
Sherlock plays a good Benedict.
6:00 when the guy was fixing Benedict's mic, I though he was unbuttoning his shirt. I was just sitting there gaping like "ohmygod what"
What a marvelous talented group of people. They are charming and witty and so humble. I am grateful for what they do, the art and love these people put into their work is astounding and I praise them for it. I can't deny that I swoon a little inside every time I see Benedict Cumberbatch, but what I would love more would just be able to sit down and have a conversation with him and Steven. To talk about art, and craft, processes, collaborations and ideas would be a gift. Thank you to all.
I REALLY appreciate Benedick as an actor because he's so down to earth, and he's so normal and sweet. Totally happy to talk to his fans and welcomes curious questions. He's also incredibly intelligent and genuinely cares. I think when you take an actor who has that much talent and feeling, and combine it with the genius that is Steven Moffat, you can never go wrong.
"He'd spill the tea on himself then run into a door and I'd have to call an ambulance and he would hijack the ambulance thinking it was his taxi or something..." Nice....
