I think the big tip is be careful of rolling with toxic players. I've had a few groups where one or two players trash talk their team the whole time!

Just block them and move on. Every game has its toxic players and unfortunately that cannot be helped. Just know that 90% of games are very positive. Even when I rage privately I never do it in chat. I do coach my stream about mistakes and errors though. Don't sweat it too much, the game is super enjoyable 😁👍

@@RealAsianRobot I feel like allot of the player base like me bought the game at release and ran into tons of problems with performance. The hardware requirements for this game are pretty demanding. But whatever they did in this last update worked wonders. I’m playing it mostly without a hitch, maybe some stuttering here and there. I feel that this is how it should have released because now there is a bit of dark cloud above the game. But as you said, it’s up to us now as fans to keep supporting this game and it’s content to show the rest of the gaming community how good it is.

One curse it has is that it is on gamepass, it might seem positive, but it does not bring very great players to the game, wich is off putting, i have been in so many games where i put alot of effort into, only for it to go wrong at the very end.

This is something you will mostly see on streams where we demonstrate actual combat. I highly recommend tuning in. Sliding is an important movement technique that all pros will use consistently. It's a great way to slide into position and move while minimizing stamina consumption. There is no specific way to use slide other than to constantly spam it while moving. It's just a highly useful technique and it makes you a smaller target as well. So if you want to see content for this kind of things. Streams are the ideal way to learn

It's my combo for all games that have a dodge. I even use it on Souls-like games. It works very well and usually keeps me alive lol

Yeah, always rebind your Dodge and Jump, but you can bind Sprint and Dodge together since you can't do both at once thus freeing up a key, though doing so interferes with forward diagonal dodging, but you can still side dodge at an angle. You can also rebind Crouch to C or something near your thumb which reduces fatigue, frees up a finger, and is very convenient for sliding.

It's up to you for your setup. For me I prefer crouch on the 'Control' key as since I'm used to it on several other games, but C is a good option! That said, I don't recommend sprint and dodge being bound together, but this is mainly because you don't need to free up a key on the keyboard tbh lol. There aren't that many inputs necessary, but I guess it could help if someone hardcore wanted to use space bar as jump

A bit more tips: when I play this type of game, I used to turn off bloom, motion blur and screen shake. If you are not fancy for these effect and overdress stuff

For heavy attacks on a controller (xbox) do I have to hold the trigger till it releases or is it more like 1 second then release? Also, thank you for the content. I just started because it came to xbox and this is very helpful.

Does anyone know how to keep up with the warp charges? I’m not sure why but my warp charges ONLY refresh the timer whenever I kill an elite or a specialist and that doesn’t really make much sense because every video that I’ve seen, people say that as long as I pop a head that it should refresh the timer. I’ve been trying my best to complete these penances but damn, it rough when your teammates can eliminate the enemies SO MUCH faster

You need the Siphon the Warp talent to get warp charges and they should fall off one at a time. I'll make a vid on it

Per chance; do you know what % of Rending one needs to tear through Crushers & Maulers Carapace? Like do they have 80% Armour, so 80% rending would make them unarmored? Vet has 2 talents in the same line that apply Rending W/ another adjacent to it. Which ones should I get?

As per the recent fatshark patch notes. Get as much rending as possible. I do not know the exact amounts that you need, but if you read the most recent patch notes about rending, as much as possible is basically the way to go 😁👍

My friend and I are just about to start. What are some good combos for two characters to play offline? I think he chose veteran so what pairs well with that?

Any character can. Psyker would be a great support and very good DPS, allowing for a ranged firepower style play for the both of you. Zealot would be a Frontline for your friend to give them lots of breathing room. Ogryn is the same tbh, but more likely to block his shots 🤣🤣

One of the reasons people don't like the left click tag is that if you're attacking and tagging, you've often got the enemy handled anyway. So it makes tags undifferentiated between something people need to be aware of - "Look out, there's a problem coming" or "Someone kill that distant sniper" and just a thing you're currently fighting. Still, at low level, people often don't tag at all, so its not a bad idea for newbies.

I dunno, I still use it till today and it is hyper useful. Often I'm the only one really tagging and it's very annoying. Maybe 1% of pros will actively tag but most people don't mark everything in sight and it helps so much to see threats through fire etc. Often times I've seen "pros" just forget to use their tag (even live on their own shows) and it makes for absolutely shit games honestly. So I would prefer 99% of people rebind their tag so they actively tag constantly. Doesn't have to be primary fire, but the idea is there

Especially during the age of the old Brain Burst psyker, I always found that tagging an enemy if I was going to BB it would always result in people focusing it down, so we were wasting efforts on the same target. It lead to me manually tagging things I wasn't going to handle so we'd split efforts up, and I generally found it worked better for me.

Hi! I would like to ask for an advice. I see a lot of psykers (I am lvl 18 and play on malice) will or is it a problem? do you think it is worth to change my operator? Honestly I dont even know if psyker is for me I like to play support, but I am not really that good with squishy characters. I looked at ogryn but the taunt doesnt seem to be that usefull do you have some experience with that?

I don't play Ogryn at all. Psyker is popular because they are extremely strong, but your first priority is to get to level 30. Also it is important that you watch streams (like mine) to decide if you like a character or not. All characters also have a support type playstyle available, but in this game, supporting others means doing your job very well. Psyker are extremely squishy but have a lot of powers. Zealots can support their team and are super tanky. Veterans are ranged with the ability to support if they specialize into it. Ogryns...you may have to find an Ogryn player and ask them (it's the only class I don't play). I am mostly a Psyker main and I'm focusing on all their builds first. So make sure you tune in to my night stream and see the Psyker live in action. Then you can see if this might be for you. You can also have multiple operators on your account so change operators any time

Is it hard to ballance damage and looking out for others or is it something like relying on others too much or is psyker just hard to play as support is zealot just easier to play as support? @@godmanczlp4132 There are no archetypes. The way the game works now is build however you please to fit your playstyle. So you can build to be tanky, build to be supportive, build to be high DPS. It's up to you. And the most important thing is balancing skills that help others, with your weapons so you can handle all the various threats to enemies. Especially at the highest levels of gameplay. A lot of this isn't things you can tell in text. You have to see it live haha. But in this game just follow the builds I put out and you will be fine more or less

For more information for those interested in mods: Fatshark posted on their forums about it, and you CAN use mods that aren't straight up cheating and don't negatively impact the experience of unmodded players! Mod to your hearts content but be SMART about what the mod does! Scoreboard is great to track your skill progression!

Yup. Quickplay just means loading into whatever mission is available. So if some dude starts a mission that has (for example) high intensity. Then when you join them via quick play, you will play a high intensity match. That's why quickplay has better rewards. It rewards you for playing under potentially random conditiona

i believe the only thing that backstory affects is the voice line the character says

Not even that lol. It's just that for the Veteran, you need to be Cadian to use the "professional" voice set. Otherwise even with a different background, the specific voice set always has the same lines. Haven't heard any real difference between them tbh. A character using a particular voice (the Savant Psyker for instance) is always an Enforcer lol

unfortunately the blue/green/brown light/med/heavy rule doesn't really apply to everything any more, mostly just the las guns and autoguns. the new shotguns the blue is the middle and the green is the light one. can't remember which colors go to what but I remember the heavy stubber didn't stick to that rule either. IIRC the blue is the big heavy one.

Yea i just started playing heresy a couple days ago because malice got easier. I went into damnation to get more materials for getting blessings and will go back and forth in difficulty depending on how im doing that session. Some damnation games i do fine some i dont, but what i discovered is how toxic people can be in damnation. I was clearing hordes before they reached us and armored enemies was usually what was left. The "team" kept running off and leaving me alone so i was constantly getting gang banged by dogs, shotgunners, and grabbers, but when they didnt run off i didnt worry about it as much because i have toughness boosts from coherency plus not so many enemies are trying to kill me as when im alone. Anyway they blamed me for everything and im discovering how toxic try hards are here since im reading about issues other people are having and people are attacking youtubers in the comments for showing builds not everyone likes. We still won that game btw. Not my fault i ran into bad luck that session and was targeted by shotgunners or got one shotted by some random enemy hiding across the map. Having people in a team who actually helps everyone and understand what their role is and not just abandon people then blame them helps a lot. These same people were also trying to take on deamon hosts and losing so yea. If your team is toxic and you dont feel like dealing with it just find a better lobby. Some of the people that play this game take it too seriously then attack people and it stops other people from having fun...

Interesting, I noticed Low Intensity gives more XP and dockets for completing the Secondary Objective.

You have a lot of good knowledge in here, but they are somewhat overshadowed by your presentation. You would come off as a lot more professional and authoritative if you did things like cutting out dead air and little mistakes like fumbling through menus or over your words. Opening up menus or muting game audio to avoid the NPC dialogue drowning out your own voice. Checking the sliding mechanics you're not sure about off-camera instead of trying to do it live while the video is rolling. Or again, just cutting these portions out in editing before posting the video. It would do a lot to make this more watchable.

@SSZB you can change your KZread display name in the settings if you need to 😁👍. Also I only stream and make content on KZread. I do this full time as job so I can stay home with my folks and care for them. I stream exclusively on KZread because it pays more. Twitch takes 50% and you must rely on donations to keep going. KZread only takes 30% and they provide you with consistent ad revenue right off the bat depending on your viewership. So yeah, fuck twitch lol. That platform sucks the life out of creators. The only downside to KZread is that their stream interface is less detailed than twitch, but the quality is the same/better. However if watching KZread Streams I recommend watching on the KZread app on the phone or if you're on PC, using Opera or Microsoft Edge. The chrome browser will auto limit quality to 'potato' even if you set my stream to 1080p (and I always stream at 1080p 60 fps)

Yes, but that's why it is long :). You can edit and trim and then teach people nothing ;). It's why most people follow my guides despite the fact that they are longer. So I minimize editing (though granted there are some areas I would have cut, but most is fine). Thanks for the feedback, but my videos will always be as long as possible to maximize info. EDIT: Just to note though, I do agree with your feedback and future updates of this sort will be more trimmed and straight to the point (though still relatively long)

People can hear a demon host first ;). You don't have to aim directly at it to tag it. You can swap to your melee weapon and tag it. This is what all of us do at pro level lol. I never have trouble marking a daemonhost. I believe in you being able to do that too 👊😁

mods are supported btw they changed their policy awhile ago. as long as they are not cheats or influence toxic behavior you can use mods.

I am aware of this, but it is stated that their use is "at your own risk" as they are 3rd party products. They are not officially approved. Feel free to use them, but as a creator, I showcase everything default. Official approval means that Fatshark themselves must make the mods available (I don't mean creating the mods, but they must offer guidance for installation and sourcing). As far as I'm aware, this is not provided for Darktide. If you can link me evidence that they have done this, I will happily change my stance 😁👍, but until then, for the purposes of my potential work with other games as well, I will not be using or installing any mods

@@RealAsianRobot my link was removed but just search darktide modding policy the "use at your own risk" is in reference to lose of gear or there of, not in the instance that mods are not allowed they also laid out what is allowed and isnt allowed modding wise which seems pretty pointless if mods were not allowed. end of the day its your choice if you decide to use them or not as a content creator obviously but there is no recourse in using mods if they stick with fatsharks allowed instances. yeah youre not hand held for installing them but it is not against Policy or TOS etc if you are saying you wont use them unless you can just subscribe to one on workshop or what not then understandable. and waht is the deifrence between Primary Aktion and Damage % .... i have to guns of the same typ, one has higher Primary Aktion damage but lower % damage than the other. that confuses me. and i startet watshing beginner videos... 5th now and still no help and more unanswered questions....

These things are not covered in beginner videos. If you're watching other people that is your first mistake. If you want to know more about crafting and Brunt's armory, I have covered that in my crafting video. Stats are usually discussed in a build video or a video about stats. Beginner videos are not designed to teach you about stats or other things like that because these are NOT important to a beginner and they don't matter. Your first objective is to get to level 30 and you can do so by playing the basic missions and upgrading your gear. Until you hit level 30, the first thing to do is to focus on just getting the best equipment you can. Once you hit level 30, you can focus on crafting good gear

Well now you've finally found my channel. First and foremost if you had watched my channel first you will realise I am the only legitimate channel around, because I talk to my viewers. Now to answer your question. The primary action is just an example of the total damage value of the weapon. The damage % Stat affects this. A weapon with a higher damage % Stat will have a higher primary action value. However this is just a general indication of how a weapon performs. To thoroughly understand the weapon, it is better to consult build videos that use the weapon. Not every weapon is good but for beginners your weapon choice doesn't matter. Just rush to level 30 and then you can focus on properly building your character. Until then you just use whichever weapon you want (this is because the lower difficulties such as, Sedition, Uprising and even Malice, are quite easy for new players and generally you don't have to worry about your weapons and equipment too much). If you have further questions, you can ask whenever I am streaming Darktide. I'm glad you finally found my channel, but I hope this has been a good lesson to you not to watch bad channels. Many people will make beginner videos, but you need to know which channels are the correct channels to watch

Actually the reason for this is that the recent hotfix killed the game optimization very badly. It's so bad in fact that I have to play on literally LOW graphics to maintain FPS. We are waiting for a fix. It ain't the servers, servers are okay, but their hotfix screwed optimization to hell 🙃🙃

31:19 Bad tip. Please for the love of god, it is imperative that you dont do that tip. Ill explain why. It annoys a lot of players and messes with Veteran Talents and such. Dont be THAT guy. Also, you want to ping once something like a dog by example that is behind a wave of enemies to see when he's gonna pounce on you, spamming Ping will make you ping something uninportant in comparison and it could lead to your immediate demise. Its suboptimal and annoying to other players to the point that is a legitimate issue in the community.

Incorrect, it is better than players not marking anything at all. Every player must mark everything every single time. It makes it so easy for the Veteran to shoot out targets. There is NO hearing difficulty. This is a myth, I clear Auric Maelstroms every time on stream, with no issue, while using this format. Proof is live on stream. Also if it was genuinely problematic, post feedback to devs and have them remove this functionality

@@RealAsianRobot Saying my take is instantly INCORRECT instead of simply disagreeing I think is invalidating a lot of different opinions in the community that I was simply conveying. I was just saying it was a bad tip imo. I never said to not mark at all. Its not about Marking and Not Marking, it isn't as black and white. I am saying that when you mark it has to be more focused and deliberate for effectiveness sake and my example with disabler such as dog or trapper illustrates my point very well. Players shouldn't mark everything at the same time. Some targets are more important than others. The game has an Hirerarchy of Threat potential and marking a dog is oftentimes more meaningful that marking a Bulwark but surely depends on the situation but I think you got my point. Its also not about hearing difficulty or anything its simply annoying and is a redundant point of conversation in a lot of discussions and such. By example if you fight a pack of Elites such as Maulers theres no point to ping them because people know its there at some point and each attack on maulers and they can take a lot is a ping that gives no additionnal information and can be annoying to some. The argument that it would have been patched if it was genuinely problematic is weak imo because right now the game still has problematic game design issues such as lack of sound and good sound quality on specials which is an old issue. Also the crafting system is overwhelmingly viewed as negative and problematic and still is very bad and is a legitimate issue because the progression doesnt feel as meaninful or time feels respected in a way. I have more in stock but the point is pretty clear. At the end, you can do it your way and I don't mind if you do that. But it would be gaslighting at best saying it doesnt annoy some people when this topic is redundant as I said and mods adresses this thing specifically. My goal was mainly advising that it can be annoying for some people to bind click to ping but also can be detrimental to pinging disablers through horde in important times. Also it can mess up with the Veteran Marking talent because you want to build some stack before pinging again and such. Your way of doing things has def its upsides such as higher Ping uptime in a way which isnt irrelevant but it has its flaws. Its a pros and cons kind of deal. In my perspective is that it is suboptimal but its totally fine if you disagree.

@@alexandreparent5754 To answer each of your points: 1) This is a tip that has pretty much carried me through the entire game since launch, therefore I presented it to others for that same reason. 2) There is no such thing as a threat hierachy, because EVERY single threat is a priority in Auric Maelstrom and Damnation. As soon as it spawns, it needs to die. Therefore, if you mark a mauler in a pack of maulers, everyone knows a pack is approaching and can turn their focus. That is my rationale and reasoning. Disablers can be seen as 'greater' threats, but realistically, anyone playing at a high level knows you kill everything on sight because everything can kill, stop or heavily damage you. There is literally no point to a hierarchy and wasting precious seconds considering it, is time you aren't aiming and firing. As a Veteran (to give an example), I want everything marked so I see every threat and delete it instantly. When they don't mark, I have to rely on my own vision. I am using one pair of eyes instead of having 4 of them active. 3) The Crafting system is difficult to rework. This and that are incomparable. The crafting system is problematic and everyone hates it, but that is a HUGE rework as it is a core game system. Reworking tag binding is much simpler, just do not allow a button to be used for 2 inputs OR give us what we all prefer, and let us have 2 inputs per button (like all other games) 4) As for individual preferences, I guess I don't even worry about the sound. It doesn't bother me, when sounds are literally missing (which is a much larger problem) if all audio cues actually played correctly, this wouldn't even be something debated. In my honest opinion, anyone who claims they "can't hear" is overly sensitive or doing something they shouldn't be (i.e. playing their own music in an audio sensitive game). While I agree that ping spam can be bad on the Veteran marking talent, it shouldn't be a problem with a marginal bit of self control. If a player is spamming, they are generally not good players to begin with as they aren't inputting commands, they're button mashing. I may test some tagging alternatives in the days to come however if it is really such an issue for the community at large.

@@RealAsianRobot I think the main argument which has fairness is that everyone benefits from free Wallhacks when teamates pings threats of any kind and its really nice to do so which is understandable. I see where you are coming from for that 100%. I think in a way if I understand well, your argument could be that : If your tip of M1 for ping isnt used, people wouldnt ping because either forget or lack of willingfulness to do so in a way. It definitely has a merit but imo I think the tip should just be that people should keep Ping uptime higher because its godamn free wallhacks for christ sake :P and people really do not ping often enough:, which I agree with, but again the only issue with the M1 tip is that it can result in spam sound and sometimes losing disablers through hordes while fighting. + Vet talent thingy that has counter synergy. Whilst I know every target should be dealt with and should be killed on sight, there's a limited output of damage you can do and the flow of horde and threats can be higher that what you can chew in the instant moment and prioritizing threats wins games. Snipers, dogs and mutants can force you to do to actions like dodging/sliding in a moment that is less advantageous for you and its either them killing you or the horde or Elites that accompagned them. Ragers pack should never be close to you unless you have specific tools and the like so you basically have to drop almost everything to target them because they are fast and unblockable in packs for the most part. Basically, some threats locks you more than others and at some point you can dodge only at a limited rate/distance etc. Everyday of the week ill focus a sniper or a dog that has a good opportunity on me instead certain threats I can focus later and anyways outrun such as Maulers lets say. But its case by case scenario what threat is important in the immediate moment I hope my opinion is clear enough and thanks for taking the time to elaborate your points!
