Why would the client want stairs going through windows?
Is the landing attached to the building? Or just posts in footings?

I’d do more than that. Your field inspector may fail that minimal overhang
Off topic, how do i install a 4x4x8 post onto an existing deck to create a deco wall?

If it’s non structural, find a solid spot to screw to and use a metal bracket into concrete at the base.
