You have some of the most informative videos. Among a peer group I try to keep limited, seeing as how many people are attempting to create worthwhile content, it can be difficult to sort the cream from the whey. Since a lot offer some value, but the ones I find most beneficial certainly includes your content. ❤

Great video. Diamond Crystal is already on my shopping list. You didn't address Brining. I'm new to brining and never realized what a difference it made. Right now I use a 50-50 mix of sea salt and Island Seasonings Original Hawaiian Salt Seasonings (sea salt, cane sugar, dehydrated garlic, onions, black pepper, chives, ginger and other spices, no MSG.) The other salt I use is Hickory Smoked Sea Salt but not full strength. If Seasoning beef, I do a manual light sprinkle on both sides. It is very strong, so a little goes a long way. I really enjoy all your videos. Thank You for putting your heart into these. Chuck from the Sanoran Desert Arizona.

Hi Chuck, thanks for your comment. I’m looking into making a video all about brining. It’s an important concept to master as you already know. The world of salt can get very interesting the more you dive in. Thanks for watching and I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel.

I wanted to add that having a Hickory Smoked Sea Salt in your collection is good. The spice company Shilling (sounds like sort of) used to make it in he 1960s. My dad used it on steaks chops, hamburgers, and boy, was it good. RY did a video on it 5 or so years back. But after trying to smoke salt, I just order it on Amazon, and boy, does a little go a long way. About $10.00 for a 2lb bag of Smoked Sea Salt. San Francisco Salt Company. Thanks Again, Chuck

So the last place you would use table salt is on the table? What do you put in your pasta water or baking? Table salt ok for that? What salt is actually on your table for final seasoning? Thanks!

table salt is great for baking or pasta water. I use sea salt as my finishing table salt. For pasta, I use Kohser salt.
