The water effect is REALLY good! One trick you can do for estimating resin, is using rice instead of water to pre-measure the quantity. Just ensure there is no find powder in the rice and all should be good!

Fill the mold with dry rice or dry sand. Pour it into a measuring container after. Get a guess at the volume that way. The dry material is way easier to clean out.

I use perl grain rice to work out the volume of resin needed in stead of water.

LOVE the end result! But it was me and i would have put in all that work, I would have gone the extra mile and sand off the resin supports marks. They are really an eyesore.

It would be cool to see a Orc growing underground diorama. With the Orcs mushroom on the surface and the Orc connected to it.

Vfar as the wood is concerned you can skim it wit filler or even plaster the just sand it down with a fine grade sandpaper.just make sure it's completely dust free before you cast the mould

Instead of using UV resin to bring back transparency, have you tried varnish? It works for me and it's less expensive than the resin.

Is there any particular reason you didn’t tint the actual resin with alcohol ink? It would probably be easier to colour the ocean that way and you wouldn’t have to worry about paint fading or rubbing off the external painted surface. With the epoxy being tinted you probably could’ve painted the shark in the traditional colours of grey and white. Unless you deliberately want that particular look in a fantasy setting. Just a friendly suggestion. I really enjoyed this build. I’m a big fan of casting myself. Great for making objects and scenery quickly en masse. Great for dungeon floors and walls.
