Yeah Bro, it sounds like it's a flex for us master card holders, it's just fancy words and not anything new or different. I also like using credit karma, nerd wallet is cool too

Great video we needed one like this. Depending on the region there are more benefits. For example here in Puerto Rico you get valet parking free on the biggest mall on the island. next one with visa please

The Citi Reweards= card is just world but has the silver world elite circles. I was told that the main benefit of world elite was they always have no charge for international purchases.

Yep, that's Citi. Somehow they put the MC World Elite logo on their cards but pulled the benefits in 2019 I think. It's really up to what the issuer decided to use/add to the card.

RJ, Great video you see these on debit cards also. The HSBC premier debit card has world elite Mastercard benefits. So funny how other issuers either take it all away or make it better. SMH. Awesome stuff and first comment it looks like.

Debit cards are getting better. I just got my Redstone and Venmo debit cards today. I'm gonna have to do something cool with the collection eventually. I think Citi is the worst offender, they're too big of a bank to do the nickel and dimming thing

that world elite status doesn't mean anything. i have the citi double cash world elite mastercard and it doesn't have cell protection.

I have a world elite Mastercard. It a nice card it looks more fancy with the world elite silver logo.

Elite logo is nicer. It's on my Custom Cash and does look cleaner than the color logo... now if only Citi had the accompanying benefits

Always at your service. World Elite is pretty good, if the card issuer picks up the benefits. Funny thing is, most issuers sell them as perks of their specific card, not because its an MC

Interesting. It still depends on the card issuer. Chase is still showing cell phone coverage on the CFF. Yet Citi brands all cards as world elite, but no coverage. While the Wells Fargo Active Cash is a Visa but also has coverage. So if you're looking for the perk on a no annual fee card, either of those would be a good option

I just got “upgraded” to world elite and came here.. nothing special about it. CSR does all that plus more.

That's a fair point. Aside from the Costco card there really isn't a better option than the 1.5x as Costco is classified as a wholesale club. Checkout the Chase Freedom Unlimited, Visa card, 1.5x, plus some other multipliers

Lotta people here today with the same situation. It honestly doesn't change much. Likely cap one wanted to switch vendors and called it an upgrade... cell phone coverage is the best MC benefit. After that it's kinda meh

I just got my upgrade email! Wasn't really looking for an upgrade but ill take it.

@@RJFinancial It was the Quicksilver card. Normally Capital One is tight on increases and upgrades and I was surprised They did it on their own accord. One of my FICO scores just hit over 800 so that maybe why, still surprise "Capital One" did that tho.

@@RJFinancial I’m talking about the previous BAC MLBaseball MasterCard now changed to a regular Cash Rewarding Card . I think BAC Is sane as Citibank’s MC cards without the cell phone protection.

@@maoworkshen2564 Gotcha. BofA uses regular MC I believe. They are the same as Citi except Citi is worse... Citi uses the World Elite logo but doesn't offer the benefits.

Cash backs are better as well. Extended warranty and insurance from a rental are important things. Plus, lounges in the main airports...

Which benefits did cap one say they were including? The main benefit is the cell phone coverage. Aside from that the world elite thing is kinda over hyped.

Capital one is removing cell phone protection effective October 1, 2021. It's time for me to FLEX with Chase.

I recognize your name from past videos so I feel like I can ask you this....what the hell did Cap One do? This video blew up overnight with so many comments that I thought it was a bunch of spam bots.... From what I saw on Reddit, cap one changed some of their cards to world elites but never sent an explanation to folks? So we don't know what MC elite benefits, if any the cards will get?
