I had circa 20, 30 days training under WSL and a handful of conversations with him.I f he was really a charlatan, then he sure fooled me.Let's leave the dead man at rest.Question; what is wrong with BCD that he is demonstrating?Which moves are ineffective and how can they be improved?I do n o t believe that "older=better".Maybe WSL improved IM's BCD.

This is part of Wing Chun sad history! WSL never had a chance to learn the BJD form from Ip Man before Ip passed away. WSL made up this bogus form with help from an actress Li. WSL knowingly taught his fake form to unsuspecting students and passed on this false 'art'. This is unethical by all measure, let alone 'mo duk' or martial art integrity! WSL was not alone thou, many other Ip Man's students follow the same deed, faking their credentials to boost their image and bottom line of $$$$$$$. This is why we see all the degenerated Wing Chun lineages on U-tube these days!

From what I heard from David Peterson and Philipp Bayer, both skilled and respected students of the late Wong Shun Leung, he was a humble and down to earth man, not too much interested in selling rubbish or teaching his students how to die (he strongly disliked such people and behaviour). It's true that many faked or are otherwise not qualified enough to teach the knife form and that is a shame. Besides, there are an estimated 93 million Chinese people with surname Li, being the second most common surname. So saying 'actress Li' doesn't exactly narrow it down enough. If you truly understand Ving Tsun as Wong Shun Leung taught it, you would appreciate the efficiency, directness and simplicity, and see that no matter if his knifeplay is ''authentic'' or not, it is very functional and logical.

But if you are smart and resourceful enough, you could find a picture of Ip Man together with a HK actress in chinese opera custom . She even posted a 'Yat Gee Doh' post acting like she'd learned the BJD fully! Find out what her name is and what kind of relationship she had with some Turd-itional Wing Chun personality! But enough hints for you ignorant fool who blindly worship WSL, lol!

+MCBosmans Seriously, what makes WSL's shit any better than that of Ip Man's so many other excellent students like LY, LS, JW, HL, YBC, GCW, HKM, MP, etc? Why would WSL's be so much more 'efficient' , 'direct' and 'simpler' than all the rest??? After all, it is the nature of the system itself! Why do you not know the names I mentioned? Because they don't have some western business men like David Peterson and Phillip Bayer who peddle WSL's crap for their own gain! Of cause they would say WSL was their best! Why won't they? To praise other or even speak the truth would hurt the business and the 'brand name' !
