Love the new video. I know these days people talk about cross training, but I was wondering what you think about "artistic" cross training, specifically if your piano training has helped your dancing. It seems to me that the emphasis on phrasing in music would help with improving the "in betweens" that you mentioned.

I have a question. So about two years ago I broke my right ankle in two places. It happened in September but they didn't catch the break and put a cast on me until November. Since then I'm back dancing and teaching however I still have problems with my right ankle. Particularly when I do plies. It won't give at all. It's almost like it's cemented in place and won't bend so that I can plie properly. Do you have any advice for what could be causing this? What I should do to see if there's anything or anyone that I need to be seeing/doing to loosen it?

I love the pas de bourrés! They are pretty easy to do. All you have to do is to start in fifth position and place the leg that is on the back onto the ground and then pass the other leg on second position and end with the leg you previously moved in front. With arms what you have to do is first position, second, and end in first. Hope it helps you

hi kathryn, I haven't directly commented on vid yet, but I have been a fan of yours for quite a while now, and I honestly believe without your videos, I wouldn't have been able to start my journey to a possible career in dance, at a vocational school, especially as a late starter. I also wanted to ask if you could possibly do one or two videos specially for male dancers. Perhaps you could colab with a male dancer contact? xx

Or even Pas de duex do's and dont's! One half for us female dancers, and another for you guys! One for both! I've seen the ones she does on her commentary videos but I want more :).

Hi, I need your advice.. There are not any good ballet schools where I live I have a class 3 times a week what of your videos would you recommend for me to do on a daily basis and also if I do the barre and the center every day by myself would it improve me without a teacher?

You need a teacher. Work hard at whatever studio around you that is the best in the area. WORK hard then audition for a ballet school. Maybe start with a smaller one then go big :).

Hey Kathryn! Could you please do a tutorial for light stage makeup? You're makeup videos are very helpful but a little to heavy, (especially the eyes),for when the audience is only a few feet away from the stage. This would be super helpful! Thanks!! :-)
