Hahahaha I get practice at keeping my cool every hour I’m awake and at home 🤣
Man, respect for staying focused talking to the camera with the kids doing their shenanigans 😂

Hahahaha thanks man! You (kinda) get used to it lol
Now THAT was chaotic 😂! Not a huge fan of French press but once in awhile, it’s cool to have that « creamier » texture! By the way, I love the « behind the scene » angle! 👌🏼☕️

Haha thanks man! I edited out the really crazy chaos 😂😂😂
Best video on how to use this French Press! I’ve had it for a little over 2years and never used it, mostly because I was intimidated by it, and while watching your video, with pauses and rewinds, I made my first cup and it was terrific! Thank you! ☕️

I mostly use my French Press as a carafe for my pour overs or for making cold brew but I loved the video. Your family always looks like they are having fun! My daughter watched today’s video with me. Keep up the awesome work

Thanks so much dude! It’s not ALWAYS a good time as I’m sure you can imagine 😂 but we do try and have fun with it rather than just always clearing everybody out for video

@@DaddyGotCoffee oh 100% my daughter(2) and I work on scooping and pouring with coffee and there is a lot of spilling and cranky kids who want to handle boiling water and hate that it is dad only for water!
You taught me the best way to make a perfect cuppa of black coffee thankyou

YAY! So happy to help!
What a beautiful video! Looks like a nice family :)
Your youngest trying to touch the hot hot French press with their toes is so accurate. Any time I'm holding my kids while I make coffee, they absolutely want to touch it.

Never use my French press but still had to watch the video for the great content. If I was doing that with my kids either the French press or worse the camera would have been broken

Hahahahaha - they're pretty good to not break the glassware, although I have lost one lens previously! ;)
What a great video! I love that it’s so realistic with the help of the family. Can you do a video on how to beat clean the press? I don’t have a sive to pour the grounds into and I don’t want to put them down the sink. Do you suggest that same unit as a cold press?

I usually just pour the water out and scoop the grinds out with a spatula etc
And voila, 4 hours later, coffee!

Thank you for sharing the french press technique. I never really made any good coffee with that brewer, so I’ll try to give it a shot. Also, please beware of plunging the french press or applying any pressure on top of the scale, it might break it 😁

Great point, it’s a super soft press, normally I do take it off but the kids had me distracted 😂
haha best crew ever!

Happy to help! There’s more than one way to make a French press too but this is how I enjoy it! Reach out any time!
I hope you can answer - I have the same model you show here and I want to know if the plastic housing can be removed because water has gotten between the plastic and the glass - I can't find any info on how to remove the plastic housing and it doesn't appear that it can come off without brute force and breaking the whole thing - if you can help - thanks
Great video! Awesome touch to have all your family there for it! If you do have plunge after you break the crust, all of the particles that tend to stay on top of the brew will sink, resulting in an even cleaner brew!

All that heat escaping. It's not hot enough for me. I went to a restaurant where they put a french press on the table and told us to push the plunger down in 10-15 minutes. The coffee was good and hot. I think I want to try cold brew and I need to buy a scale. Thanks.
Thanks for the tips! But the only drawback to this process is that the water isn’t hot after 8 minutes. Putting in a microwave or reheat on the stove seems counter productive. SMH

Have you tried it? Because it’s such a large amount of water I find it stays plenty hot!
i have this same french press. I got it from canada. I can't decide the the cup is plastic or glass haha. It doesn't sound the same as a glass if you hit it gently with a utensil

Not a single tutorial I have found shows how to initially remove the plunge top. Mine is still locked on.

@@DaddyGotCoffee after watching multiple tutorials, I finally saw one where he pointed out an arrow on the side, which must be aligned one way to open and another to lock! One vid out of ten plus I watched! I moved that arrow and it came easily off.
Eight minutes before serving? I like my coffee hot
Let's hold that child out the high-rise hotel window Mr. Jackson...Duffus
800 grams of coffee. 😂
This thing makes the crap out of french press
You really DO NOT need the whole family interjecting during the instruction process. Found it unhelpful
