    Like #34 Yay, part 2 You're correct Nico, part 1 was solid 👌 Dremmel makes a set of ultra fine Sanding (NOT grinding), and polishing small diameter inner diameter parts. I use Dremmel Carbon-Steel Brushes (#442-02) and these brushes help clean, sand, polish all sorts of parts on yours cars.

    You are correct about the guide, as the guide slot can cause massive friction, drag and an over all slowing of your cars top end

    @slotcardude68 I don't know if you've seen some of my Friday videos (the longer ones with a full technical test track run?, but on some of the lighter and faster cars that back downward straight with the unbanked, sharp right hand turn has led to some cars coming out of the slot. Any idea's on how to prevent that aside from: 1. Slowing down or 2. Adding weight to the front

    You can get Brass plates in the USA at most Hobby Lobby stores OR you can go to most local hardware stores and the brass is usual a less expensive BUT you will have to cut, drill and shape the brass yourself.

    You can use "Penetrating oil" that works really very well to clean your ball bearings and then you can use whatever lubrication you want.

    Hi Duderino, Thanks again for covering these topics - very appreciated!! Looking forward to more!!! Wow that front wheel ran forever with ball bearings. All my current cars use brass bushings or bronze oilites, but with respect to ball bearings I have a question; Is the axle spinning free in the inner race?? - Or is it an interference fit? Best Regards, Jack

  • @slotcardude68

    @slotcardude68

    3 ай бұрын

    It needs to spinn free. The axle needs to drop through both bearings freely when you flip the chassis to the side. It needs to drop out by it's own weight. Hope you know what I mean. Same if you use other bushings, the axle needs to fall through when you flip the chassis to the side, applys for front and rear axle!

    The weight issue... I would say, like you did, if you are using good grad tires, like Urathane, then put weight on the rear, just look at a REAL WORLD PORSCHE 911, engine hanging over the back, and as we all know, the Porsche 911 has been the Titanium standard of sports cars for nearly 3/4 of a century.
