I too loved that blue dress. That was the reason I picked out that puzzle. Glad you liked it.

I haven’t done puzzling for over 45 yrs. It’s interesting that I was gluing my puzzles with Mod Podge in the mid 1970.s and you’re using the same technique decades later.

Excellent video! Can you do a video on how you add backing to a puzzle to put on a wall. After it is glued. I love how your puzzles look on the wall.

I just uploaded a video showing you how to put a backing on a puzzle. It's called How To Prepare a Jigsaw Puzzle for Wall Display. Hope it helps.

I have found that sticky contact (Con-Tack) paper on the back works great for me.

I used to use that same glue but then I found out that Mod Podge Matte is essentially the same glue and a whole lot cheaper. I’ve had zero issues with the switch. I need to try the card technique as it looks like it uses a ton less glue. The key for gluing puzzles is to get the glue in the cracks between the pieces and the technique you showed seems to do that with less glue then my foam brush.

Thank you for letting me know about Mod Podge Matte. Will need to look for that at my craft store.

I love the idea of using an old gift card instead of a brush. I bet that really gets the glue in the crevices better than any brush. I have glued puzzles in the past, but I have cats and it's difficult to glue the puzzle w/o having random fur land on it. And I understand abt the curling. I stacked a couple against the wall in the closet and they curled. They dont uncurl either!!!! Nice video!

If you're new to puzzling I would recommend a Ravensburger puzzle because they are excellent quality. Ravensburger has 500 piece large size and 500 piece regular size. The large ones will say "large piece format" on the box. They also have a variety of lovely images to select from.

Quick question does this product put a bit of a gloss to a puzzle? So if the puzzle has more of a mat finish does it leave a bit of a shine? Thank you .. This was a nice video

The one I used in this video is glossy but since then I've switched over to the matte finish and I like it better. It will have a sticker on the top of the lid that says matte.

Hi, very useful, as I didn't know how to hang my puzzle if not framed. How many mm's are the boards you use? and I see in the back there was a colour difference, do you buy the board the same size of the puzzle? Thanks for any tip!

The boards are a standard size that I pick up at the dollar store. They measure approximately 20 by 30 inches and are a thickness of 3.8 mm. One board fits nicely on a 1000 piece Ravensburger puzzle. For larger puzzles like White Mountain I need to use one a full board and then cut an additional piece to fit into the remaining space. The foam boards available at my dollar store are either white or black. I have no preference in colour so I just buy what's in stock that day.

@@thepuzzlingcanadian thanks a lot for your reply. I found a place where to order boards on specific measures. My puzzle is 3000 pieces, 120x85, so I will be ordering exactly that measure. I was wondering how thick they should be! I got my answer ;)

I save most of my puzzles... but I use clear packing tape instead of glue. I don't frame them... For most of them... they get stacked in storage. For me... it's a lot quicker. Gluing to me would take too much time... and I have cats... enough said.

Good idea. I've heard of other puzzlers using that technique to keep puzzles together.
