In my experience the corner route is either a Touchdown or a pick six with no in-between.

Thanks man, in my franchise I was in bottom three for passing yards and that’s because the only plays ever open were slants. Anything remotely deep was NEVER open. And this honestly helped me so thank you

Thank you for these tips man! Coming back to Madden after like 8 years and this helped a lot

High passes are good to get over users especially in the red zones or throwing streaks over the middle. Low passes can get picked so pass lead towards the QB backwards and aggressive catch if curls aren't wide open Mesh concepts with the wheel are good with a flat and wheel because it beats a lot of zones. Also the flat, streak corner (or deep out) on the same side is good but also better with a dig in route on the opposite side for another option

That is annoying, but if you set the line to QB contain, run a cover 3 blitz like a sam 3 etc, they won't have a lot of time to throw the ball, just user the LB on the yellow middle zone and you should be able to pick it if they do get the ball off. If they don't, they get sacked.

good tips on route combos, any good resources on what combos work with what defenses generally you can point me to?

I had to ragequit during my franchise when I was down 7 points with 1:20 left during a drive. I’m playing as Zach Wilson and he is obviously just a rookie with average Short throw accuracy, but at the end of my three step drop I step into the throw and toss a checkdown, somehow the ball travels at least 5-10 yards to the right, directly into the hands of a linebacker. It was absolutely ridiculous, and I really don’t understand. Nobody is that bad.

@@tharengore7215 I think so too...I guess I just want control over my players more so than a true simulation game, especially since you can’t aim throws. Just like how most penalties called aren’t on the player you were playing as.

@@hiejossd1 Oh i hear you there. I wish they would have a way to game plan assignments for your corners, DL, etc. As well as alternate play calls for to try and get specific players open due to double coverages and such. Bring the chess match part of the game into the game.

You can do either or depending on the situation one might be better than the other

any tips on how to stop glitches? or how to stop animations stop me from getting a catch cos the player was 5 feet away and started tackling before the ball was even close?

In MUT if you are higher over all then oppent they jack up the stats to give that "competitive" feel a lot of times. I've had a LB cover Hill one v one 30 yards down field and nearly picked the ball off...like it's ridiculous at times.

its cuz the standard setting for mut is arcade so there is high scoring and unrealistic throws and catches

Hey when you lead the pass you said left stick to lead the pass but if you keep move the left stick you move the player and how we post to plant our feet to make a good pass

You only need 1 tip for passing. Zone is broken so just go deep every play. I had 5 td's on 6 passing plays in the first quarter on Madden setting. I'm going to go out on a limb and say EA was extra lazy on this game.

Kinda it makes the pass come up shorter so you can throw under the zone idk why he said to do it everytime bc you donthave to just left left trigger but holding thr stick down is just another way to lead him under the coverage

There is no defense right now.

Anybody know how to fix my issue?? Basically I read defenses make good passes etc, but sometimes my receiver will stop mid route and just let the ball fly over head.. it is infuriating on 3rd and long when I do a post and they just give up when it’d be a beautiful catch

5:03 What does the C and M mean on the AI team?

I think I asked you last year. My grandson has down syndrome loves the game but he just wants to call plays hit X and watch them play out does the QB throw the ball by himself if you don't touch anything after the snap. Thanks

No he will not throw it if you press nothing after snapping he will just get tackled

As easy as it sounds to just stay in the pocket, I seem to be incapable of staying in the pocket and continuing to look down field :(

Am I the only one experiencing bad catching in madden 22 I mean it’s always been pretty bad but it’s 10x worst this year like people like DK Metcalf and Stephon Diggs don’t just drop the ball when they’re pushed and in the game it seems like that’s all they’re doing honestly it’s like they catch it get pushed and then they toss it up in the air like here ya go defense a free ball. Like what the hell is going on this year and to top it all off it doesn’t matter if you have a 99 catch or a 99 CIT you still can’t catch when being pushed like at all if anyone has any tips or any personal experiences you’ve had with these issues and on how to correct this it would be greatly appreciated

Slide = Tap The Square button. Fair catch = Triangle while ball is in the air.

I’ve tried everything and can’t hit a wide open player downfield. Picks like crazy. No deep threat passing. I figured it was the leading passing. I’ll find out soon enough.
